This amazing math trick can be used to multiply two digit numbers instantly.
It is important to remember that for this particular multiplcation trick that it is just that - it is very specific and has a few conditions which must be met in order for it to work. First the first numbers must add up to ten, and secondly the last numbers must be the same....so very limited, but cool nonetheless!

Multiplying Decimals is easy
To multiply decimals, first multiply as if there is no decimal. Next, count the number of digits after the decimal in each factor. Finally, put the same number of digits behind the decimal in the product.

The Order of operations is the order in which you should do a maths equations. You've probably heard it called BODMAS or PEDMAS...even BIDMAS or PIDMAS....it's all the same thing!
First do anything in brackets (also called parenthesis). Second, do any orders (these are squared, cubed, square root and the like). Any multiplication or divide come next, and finally do any addition or subtraction...left to right. In this math lesson, we learn to use division to convert fractions into their decimal form. This video uses the rapid short division method, where we simply divide the denominator into the numerator (top divided by bottom).

This math video lesson also looks at recurring and non recurring decimals that can result from calculating fractions.

It is also a similar method we use to convert fractions to decimals and then percentages - to do this we convert the fraction to the decimal as explained, then we multiply by 100 to change to a percentage.
