This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into conservative and nonconservative forces. Examples of conservative forces include the electric force, the elastic force, and the gravitational force. Examples of nonconservative forces include friction, the applied force, any push or pull action including the tension force. This video connects the work done by conservative and nonconservative forces with the conservation of mechanical energy and shows how it's related to the change in the kinetic energy and potential energy of an object.

This physics video tutorial explains how to solve conservation of momentum in two dimension physics problems. The total momentum in the x direction and in the y direction must be conserved separately. Inelastic Collisions occur when momentum is conserved when kinetic energy is not conserved especially in the case when two objects stick together after a collision. Elastic collisions occur when both momentum and kinetic energy are conserved. Objects bouncing off each other usually occur during an elastic collision.

This chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the 4 states of matter such as solids, liquids, gases, and plasma. Solids have a definite shape and volume. Liquids have a definite volume but not a definite shape since they assume the shape of the container. Gases do not have a definite volume or shape. Solids and gases are fluid which mean they have the ability to flow. Plasma is an ionized gas that can conduct electricity. Solids and liquids have a relatively high density and gases have a low density.

This chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the chemical properties of metals and nonmetals. Metals are excellent conductors of heat and electricity. They are ductile, malleable, hard, and are shiny with metallic luster. Nonmetals are insulators. They tend to be brittle. Metals are reducing agents and nonmetals are usually oxidizing agents. Metals usually have high melting points where as nonmetals usually have low melting points and boiling points.
