Kepler-452b has a probable mass 1.5 times that of Earth, and its surface gravity is nearly twice as much as Earth's, though calculations of mass for exoplanets are only rough estimates. If it is a terrestrial planet, it is most likely a super-Earth with many active volcanoes due to its higher mass and density.

How Planets Rotate (Slow It Down to 0.25x to See 1 Hour in 1 Second)
The rotation periods of the planets cast to a single sphere. Rotations relative to background stars.
To measure a day is to count the amount of time it takes for a planet to completely spin around and make one full rotation. This is called a sidereal day. On Earth, a sidereal day is almost exactly 23 hours and 56 minutes.
We know how long an Earth day is, but how about the other planets in our solar system? How long does it take for those planets to spin one full rotation? And what is the best way to show the answer to this question?
The simple answer is:
Mercury: 58d 16h, 10.83 km/h
Venus: 243d 26m, 6.52 km/h
Earth: 23h 56m, 1574 km/h
Mars: 24h 36m, 866 km/h
Jupiter: 9h 55m, 45,583 km/h
Saturn: 10h 33m, 36,840 km/h
Uranus: 17h 14m, 14,794 km/h
Neptune: 16h, 9,719 km/h
In this dataset, it's possible to see all 8 planets on the sphere rotating at once and we have set Earth's ~24 hour day/rotation to happen in 60 seconds. Next to each planet's name, we have listed the time it takes for each planet to make one full rotation as well as the speed each planet moves at its equator. Jupiter, for example, makes one rotation in 9h 55m but moves 27 times faster than Earth at its equator, spinning at a whopping 45,583 km/h!
We have included two PIPs (picture in pictures) that can be toggled on for further explanation related to this concept. A PIP of the approximate sizes of the planets relative to each other and a PIP illustrating that if you viewed all the planets from the same point and at an angular diameter of 30 degrees - about ten feet from the sphere - each planet would appear to have a similar size.

Scientists Discover Planets More Habitable Than Earth
โบ Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F
Just about 30 years ago, we didnโt have any scientific proof of a planet outside our solar system. Today, thanks to advances in technology and scientific research, we've discovered over 5,300 exoplanets - alien worlds that are out there waiting to be explored.
At first, these discoveries mostly involved large gas giants, but as our capabilities have expanded, we've started to uncover smaller, Earth-like exoplanets. Scientists have already found more than 50 exoplanets with masses similar to Earth, and over 800 worlds with radius less than one half times that of Earth.
We donโt know of many such planets orbiting in the habitable zone of their parent stars - where the conditions are just right to support life. But that's already starting to change.
As our search for habitable planets continues, we're beginning to discover entire planetary systems with more than one potentially habitable world. And we already know about at least one such system in our cosmic neighborhood.

Its name is K2-18 b, also known as...wait for it... EPIC 201912552 b.
It is an exoplanet orbiting a red dwarf star, located about 111 light-years from Earth.
If you were able to reach half of the speed of light and travel at that constant speed, you will take about 222 years to get to K2-18b. And we don't even know how to reach that huge speed. So I guess you and I will never go for a trip to K2-18b planet.
Not only earth-based telescope is being used to catch exoplanets.
In fact, we make large use of some space telescopes, such as the famous Kepler Space Telescope.

We are living in the Age of Exoplanets!
A lot of Astrophysicists and Physicians, as well as Biologists, are currently involved in projects which try to understand whether in the universe exists other forms of life as we know it, or not.
That's why we search for exoplanets, hoping one day we'll find a habitable one, just like ours, the Earth.
As we've said, the planet was discovered through the Kepler space telescope, using the transit method.
What scientists found is that it has about eight times the mass of Earth and it completes an orbit around its host star in about 33 days (it means that if we lived on that planet, our year would last 33 solar days!).
It is also in the so-called Habitable zone of the planet, which is what makes it a potential candidate for life as we know it.
But is it enough to be In the habitable zone in order to host life as we know it?
Well, things are harder than that.
First, we should search for some clues about water. Is there water on K2 18 b?
With the help of the telescopes Kepler, Hubble and Spitzer (which works in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum), two independent research studies found that there are significant amounts of water vapour in K2 18 b's atmosphere.
This was a groundbreaking discovery because it was the first time we had clues of water within the habitable zone of a star.
But is the presence of water the only requirement in order to host life as we know it?
Of course, it is not. Some other factors play a big role in this game.ย
For example, let's talk about K2 18 b size and let's see what we can say about the presence (or not) of life.ย

Today we're looking at the Kalinin K-12, an experimental tailless bomber. Its future was cut short when Konstantin Kalinin, its designer, met his untimely end. Though the experimental bomber was somewhat unstable and not large enough to be practical, it did at least prove that the concept of large tailless aircraft could work.

CATHERINE THE GREAT
The reign of Catherine II (Catherine the Great) is known to history as the โAge of Enlightened Absolutism,โ in Russia. A whole generation of people grew up enjoying freedom of speech, political stability, and great victories.
BACKGROUND
After the death of Elizabeth, her nephew, Peter III, from Northern Germany ruled disastrously. His wife, Sophie Friederike Auguste, was a pretty German princess who had been invited to Russia while still very young. She converted to Orthodoxy, learned the Russian language, and took the name Catherine. In 1762, she launched a coup against her husband and became the Empress of Russia, known as Catherine the Great.
ENLIGHTENED MONARCH
Catherine continued Peter the Greatโs line of modernization, and she strongly supported education and culture. She prepared drafted laws based on the views of the Enlightenment, but the greater part of her ambitious plans, including the abolition of serfdom, led nowhere.
PATRON OF NOBILITY
The great Administration Reform of 1775 increased the administrative power of the nobility. Courts and police institutions were established. The reform significantly increased the effectiveness of local government in Russia.
FOREIGN POLICY
In the beginning, Catherineโs foreign policy was in the hands of Nikita Panin. The commanders Alexander Suvorov, Fyodor Ushakov, and Grigory Potemkin, greatly expanded Russiaโs territory in the south and west. In 1784, Crimea was taken from the Ottomans, and the three partitions, formed in 1772, 1793 and 1795, respectively, completely wiped Poland off the map.
PUGACHEV'S REBELLION
Catherine supported the Enlightenment only to a certain extent. She denounced the French Revolution as a brutal act against monarchy.
Although Catherine tried to improve the situation of Russian peasants, these attempts were mostly futile and caused unrest. In 1773, the greatest armed revolt in Russia, constituting 100,000 Cossacks, led by Yemelyan Pugachev, who claimed that he was actually Peter III, was put down ruthlessly. Pugachev was publicly executed.
