Anaerobic Respiration Fermentation
Anaerobic respiration, also called fermentation, occurs when cells need energy but there is no oxygen for aerobic respiration. As a result, cells convert glucose into either ethanol or lactic acid.
Alcoholic respiration occurs in plants and yeast.
Lactic acid fermentation occurs in animals.
