This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the doppler effect of moving sound waves. it explains how to solve doppler effect problems in physics. Any time the source moves toward the observer or if the observer moves toward the source, the detected frequency will increase - that is - the observed frequency will be greater than the frequency emitted by the source. The source can be an ambulance truck or a police siren. If the source moves away from the observer or if the observer moves away from the source, the detected frequency will decrease. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems of calculated the frequency detected by the observer.

This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into RL circuits which are made of inductors and resistors. It explains how to calculate the instantaneous current at any time as well as the maximum current after the switch has been closed for a long time. It discusses how to calculate the time constant given the inductance and the resistance and how to determine how many time constants is required for the inductor to be 99.4% charged. This video explains how to calculate the voltage across the inductor and the resistor as well as the battery. It explains how to determine the instantaneous rate at which energy is being consumed by the resistor and the inductor. The emf induced by the inductor is dependent on the rate at which the current is changing in the circuit. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

Normal Force on a Hill, Centripetal Force, Roller Coaster Problem, Vertical Circular Motion, Physics
This physics video tutorial explains how to calculate the normal force at the bottom and at the top of the hill given the speed and radius of the circular hill. This video provides the free body diagram needed to derive the formulas to calculate the normal force at those positions. In addition, this tutorial discusses how to find the minimum speed that a roller coaster must have so passengers don't fall out and the maximum speed an object can travel on top of a hill without losing contact with the surface. The normal force provides the centripetal force in these problems. This video contains plenty of examples and vertical circular motion practice problems.

This physics video tutorial explains how to calculate the magnitude of the electric dipole moment and its direction. An electric dipole is simply the combination of a positive charge and a negative charge that have the same magnitude but opposite signs. This video shows you how to calculate the forces exerted on a dipole, the rotational torque acting on it, the potential energy due to its rotation in an electric field, and the work required to rotate it from one angular position to another. This video involves some knowledge of calculus and integration of trigonometric functions such as sine and cosine. This video contains a few practice problems and examples.

This electronics video tutorial explains how to build a 12V DC power supply using a 220V AC power source, conventional diodes, zener diodes, capacitors, resistors, and a transformer. The step down transformer brings the 220V AC voltage to 13V AC. The conventional germanium diodes form a full wave bridge rectifier converting AC to DC. The zener diode acts a voltage regulator and the capacitor reduces ripple voltage and converts the pulsating DC wave into a smooth DC output. The series current limiting resistor reduces the surge current that flows through the diode when the capacitor is charging.
