Learn the difference between independent and dependent variables in research.
The independent variable can stand alone and is the variable that is being changed or manipulated.
The dependent variable is the variable that is being measured.
Learning the difference between these two types of variables can be very helpful in Science and any type of experiment.
I also cover how to graph these two types of variables.
Why are some objects considered alive and other objects considered non-living? I cover the 7 characteristics of life which determine if an object is alive or not.
These 7 characteristics include,
Made of Cells
Grow and Develop
Reproduce
Contain DNA
Require Energy
Respond to stimuli
Levels of organization
This video aligns with the Science standard S7L2
In addition, it answers the question " How are living things distinguished from non-living things?

An overview of the transition metals. Which group of metals are silver, maybe gold and sometimes liquid? The transition metals
The transition metals are the elements found in groups 3-12.

Hemophilia is an X-linked recessive disorder. The blood of a hemophiliac lacks the ability to clot, due to the fact that one or more of the plasma proteins required to form a clot is absent or reduced in their blood.
A recessive gene, it is carried on the female chromosome X . Males possess XY chromosomes and females XX. Since females have two X chromosomes, they are more often than not carriers.
If you look at the Punnett Square you can see the following.
Each child of a carrier will have a 50% chance of inheriting hemophilia. The daughter of a male haemophiliac will always inherit the disease, while a son cannot ever inherit it. A female will only be affected with haemophilia in the rare circumstance that she inherits mutated X chromosomes from both a hemophiliac father and a carrier mother. No case of such double inheritance is known among Queen Victoria's descendants.

The gas giants which are also called the Jovian planets include the planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
These planets are not only huge but have no real surface, are composed of hydrogen and helium, and revolve around the Sun slowly.
These planets also have rings and many moons that revolve around them.

Phaneritic: Are igneous rocks with crystals larger than 1 mm. You could describe the texture as coarse Here are some examples
Aphanitic: The name tells you about this texture a = not
Phaner = visible
These rocks have very fine small crystals
Porphyritic: igneous rocks, for a rock that has a distinct difference in the size of the crystals, with at least one group of crystals obviously larger than another group. Wikipedia
Glassy: Are like the name suggests no crystals and the texture of glass.
Vesicular: are igneous rocks with bubbles they can be mafic or felsic
Pyroclastic: is a mixture of rock fragments, pumice, and volcanic ash. The ash is very fine-grained, so only the rock fragments and pumice are identifiable. A rock with a pyroclastic texture is termed a tuff with small fragments, a volcanic breccia if the fragments are larger.

Alkaline Earth Metals-- Alkaline earth metals are found in group 2 of the periodic table
They include beryllium (Be), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), strontium (Sr), barium (Ba), and radium (Ra)
The alkaline earth metals share several common properties, they have
Low density
Silver and soft metals
Ductile and malleable
React with halogens and water
Alkaline earth metals are reactive, not as reactive to alkali metals, but still very reactive. This is because they all contain two electrons in their outer shell. Because they are reactive they are usually found in nature in compound form.
Strontium compounds are often added to fireworks displays for their red flame test color.
Calcium is used by our body for our teeth and bones.
Magnesium is used in antacid and barium is used in light bulbs.
So there are the group 2 alkaline earth metals. They each have two valence electrons.
