Episode 1 (0:44) Episode 2 (11:43) Episode 3 (22:43) Episode 4 (34:43) Episode 5 (44:44)
The city of Monstropolis in the monster world is powered by energy from the screams of human children. At the Monsters, Inc. factory, skilled monsters employed as "scarers" venture into the human world to scare children and harvest their screams, through doors that activate portals to the children's bedroom closets. It is considered dangerous work, as human children are believed to be "toxic". Energy production is falling because children are becoming less easily scared, and company chairman Henry J. Waternoose is determined to find a solution. James P. "Sulley" Sullivan is the organization's top scarer, but his chief rival, chameleon-like monster Randall Boggs, is close behind.
One day, Sulley discovers that Randall has left a door activated on the scare floor, and a small girl has entered the factory. After several desperate failed attempts to put her back, Sulley conceals her and takes her out of the factory. He interrupts his best friend Mike Wazowski's date with his girlfriend Celia, and chaos erupts when the child is discovered. Sulley and Mike manage to escape with the child before the Child Detection Agency (CDA) quarantines the restaurant, and back at their home, discover that she is not actually toxic after all. Sulley grows attached to her and calls her "Boo", while Mike is just anxious to be rid of her.
When they smuggle her back into the factory in an attempt to send her home, Randall discovers her and tries to kidnap her, but mistakenly kidnaps Mike instead. He straps Mike to a large machine called "The Scream Extractor", which he intends to use to revolutionize the scaring industry and solve the monster world's energy problems by forcefully extracting screams from kidnapped human children, though not without harming them in the process. Before Randall can use the machine on Mike, Sulley intervenes and reports Randall to Waternoose. Waternoose, secretly in league with Randall, instead exiles Mike and Sulley to the human world in the Himalayas. The two are taken in by a Yeti, who suggests they travel to a nearby village to return to the monster world. Sulley prepares to leave, but Mike angrily refuses to go with him. Meanwhile, Randall is preparing to use the Scream Extractor on Boo, but Sulley arrives and saves her. Randall and Sulley fight, and after Mike returns and the two reconcile, they overpower Randall, take Boo and flee.
Randall pursues them to the giant door vault, and a wild chase ensues among the millions of doors as they move in and out of the storage vault on rails to the factory floor. Boo's laughter causes all the doors to activate, allowing the chase to pass in and out of the human world. Randall attempts to kill Sulley, but Boo overcomes her fear and attacks him. Sulley and Mike trap Randall in the human world, where two residents at a trailer park beat him with a shovel, mistaking him for an alligator. Sulley and Mike then trick Waternoose into revealing his plot with Randall, while Mike secretly records the entire conversation. The CDA then arrests Waternoose, and Sulley and Mike say goodbye to Boo and return her home before her door is shredded to prevent any more contact with her.
With the factory temporarily shut down, Sulley is named the new CEO of Monsters, Inc. Under his leadership, the energy crisis is solved by harvesting children's laughter instead of screams, as laughter has been found to be much more potent. Mike takes Sulley aside, revealing he has rebuilt Boo's door, and only needs one final piece, which Sulley took as a memento. Sulley enters and joyfully reunites with Boo.

Subitize to 10. Subitize is the ability to tell the number of objects in a set, quickly, without counting. Subitizing develops math fluency, when students recognize sets without having to count each object and it helps develop number sense and the ability to perform mental math. Name the numbers in each set of dots, ten frames and fingers. This version of Subitize Rock does not show the numerals after each set.
Lyrics
Subitize, subitize
Use your brain
Use your eyes
See a set, then think quick
Say the number in the set
(Say the number of dots in each set)
Subitize, subitize
Use your brain
Use your eyes
See a set, then think quick
Say the number in the set
(Say the number in the ten frames)
Subitize, subitize
Use your brain
Use your eyes
See a set, then think quick
Say the number in the set
(Say the number of fingers)
Subitize, subitize
Use your brain
Use your eyes
See a set, then think quick
Say the number in the set

Measurement for kids does not have to be boring! Learning about this math concept is easy and fun with the videos from Kids Academy. Join our video teachers as they demonstrate measuring length, and how to compare lengths in centimeters, inches, feet and yards for kids!
The videos about measuring length are full of content that is explained carefully and clearly. Students learn different tools used for measuring such as a ruler, yardstick, meter stick, plastic tape measure, and metal tape measure. Then, students choose the appropriate tool to measure items like, a nail, door, ball or house. The teacher’s use of a whiteboard with fun pictures and examples appeal to young learners.
Students practice measuring items in inches and centimeters. Comparing centimeters to inches is easy with the rulers provided on the screen. Students continue their exploration of measurement by comparing objects by measuring the length in centimeters and then using subtraction to compute the difference in length.
Showing children how math is applied and used in their everyday lives makes instruction more meaningful and aids in the retention and understanding of the concepts taught. Almost every day, we use estimation of length, width, or weight. Kid’s Academy carefully explains how to use everyday objects that are familiar to estimate length. The video teacher explains a bottle cap is about an inch wide, and a hammer is close to 12 inches long. Using these objects as a reference, students estimate the length of other objects.
Clear up any confusion on measurement for kids with these videos and activities. These clips are a great resource for teachers and parents to aid students with measurement. After viewing the instruction, hands-on measurement activities are easily completed in the home or classroom as an extension or enrichment for the lesson.

Monstrovia is an alpine village with a twist: There are monster houses, abominable fridge monsters, monster doormats, TV monsters and vacuum cleaner monsters – in fact it’s just one great big monster world! Monstrovia is a monstrously mixed-up place with uniquely monstrous problems. The laws of physics, math, common sense and personal hygiene don’t matter much to monsters. Try crossing the street with Backs Up Everywhere Monster Truck on the loose, not to mention the fact that the traffic light can’t count how long red should be on for. Monstrovia needs some serious sorting out. These monster-sized challenges require monster-sized solutions that only the math-loving Monster Math Squad can provide. Monster Math Squad stars MAX, LILY and GOO. While they may not be the biggest, or bravest (or even the brainiest) monsters on the block, the Squad love nothing better than to put their monster minds together and use their math skills to overcome any obstacle they face… even ones with two left feet or ten thumbs. Each story features a job for the Squad, helping a monster with a unique problem. Along the way they face a variety of small challenges that require learning and using numeracy skills en route to and saving the day. The Monster Math Squad are quite simply mad for math and all things “mathy”… counting, measuring, sizing, sorting, exploring shapes, patterns, time… you name it, it’s all math to these monsters. For the Monster Math Squad, math can solve any problem. The series’ mission is to promote the love of numeracy, the idea that math is everywhere, and math is fun!
