Division can be done instantly using this amazing math trick!
Moving from left to right trick can be done accurately and faster then a calculator.
In the example provided we will divide 9 into 316249. Amazingly to do this we will not use any division, nor will you have to use your nine times table, instead we will use addition to answer this division question!
This video is part three in a series of three, and leads to how to do long division the fast and easy way!

This trick allows you to multiply two numbers quickly and accurately, using a handy visual method - lines.
It also shows how to deal with zeros and larger numbers, for easier multiplication.

This method does not use any multiplication tables, making it accessible to all learners.

The first of the videos showing how to multiply with lines is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AJvshZmYPs&list=PLjbxBzUM6SLkk-Pm6oDtvJc-lsM-xli_1&index=10

This looks at how to do simple addition in maths.
No tricks, no fuss.
This is one of the most basic things in maths - yet as a senior level maths teacher I am astounded how many people lack this ability - and as such they struggle throughout their school years at maths.
Addition, subtraction, division and multiplication - these are the most important thing anyone should know in maths , yet a large number of people who still are yet to attain this skill!

How to square any numbers in your head - fast mental math trick here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEuyDHMG0jY

There is barely any calculation needed to mentally find the square a number that ends in five. How fast? The square of 45 is 1225; The square of 85 is 7225; the square of 115 is 12125; the square of 1095 is 1188125....as fast as I can type them I answer them!
The trick is this to faster squaring....
Say we have 65 squared. Get the number that is not 5 ( that is 6) and multiply it by the next number after it (7). Then just write 25 on the end.
So 6 x 7 = 42, our answer is 4225. Really. Simple 'eh?

In the video lesson, you will learn how to convert a number from standard notation to scientific notation by moving the decimal place. By doing this really big numbers and really small numbers can be easily described.
e.g to write 470,000 in scientific notation, write the number 4.7, (so that there is only one digit to the left of the decimal point), then count the number of places that the decimal point must be moved to get back to 470000 ( in this case is 5). If the number is big it is a positive exponent (like this one - which we'd write as 4.7 x 10^5).
A little number - like 0.0000033 gives a negative exponent (in this case 3.3 x 10^-6).
Good luck! To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU

Lattice multiplication is a multiplication method that allows you multiply any two numbers quickly using a table.
It is especially useful in multiplying large numbers, with less mess and confusion than standard long multiplication.
This method has many names - Lattice multiplication, gelosia multiplication, the Hindu lattice, sieve multiplication as well as Venetian squares.
