It’s one of the most annoying sensations our bodies can feel, but does anything feel better than when you scratch an itch? Ok, maybe *some* things. But itching and scratching are up there. How does this weird sensation work? And what is itching for?

Kære venner
I dette værksted arbejder vi med snorlinger på mange måder.
Vi øver addition og bruger snorlingerne til at visualisere opgaverne, så der er fokus på talforståelsen.
Hent materialerne gratis lige her: https://anettekmatematik.com/snorlinger-addition/

This Halloween song tells the story of Hugo, a little boy locked in a haunted castle! Hugo will stumble onto a black cat, an evil witch, a vampire, a monster practicing yoga, loads of colorful ghosts and even Frankenstein himself! We will join Hugo in wondering around the castle looking for the exit...Will we find it? Watch out! It’s terrifying!
This is the story of “Castle Dutch”
Spooky place, with a fine touch.
Halloween mess,
Such clumsiness!
Such a dark scene in Halloween
Hugo gets in, newly disguised
Very alone, and so surprised
Nightmare’s on
Stumbles on lawn
Such a dark scene in Halloween
A black cat steps in
bad luck night, this has been
Cat’s upset
Wanna bet?
Such a dark scene in Halloween
She is the witch of “Castle Dutch”
Watch-out, her black magic hutch
Casts the spell
My! the smell!
Such a dark scene in Halloween
The Castle Lord wants to sing
It’s the vampire’s special ding
Story galore
Dracula’s roar
Such a dark scene in Halloween
This castle is so very unique
A monster does yoga, so chic
Snoozing around
Asleep on the ground
Such a dark scene in Halloween
There’s much noise everywhere
Color ghosts flying in the air
Playful things
Have they wings?
Such a dark scene in Halloween
Frankenstein has just popped in
He seems nice, what a grin
It’s the way out
No doubt
Such a dark scene in Halloween
And so our story comes to an end
It’s been a blend, hard to contend
Hugo is out
Lucky turnout
Such a dark scene in Halloween

This week, Stan teaches you about patents. It turns out, they're patently complicated! So, patents have some similarities to copyright, in that they grant a limited monopoly to people who invent things. The key difference between patents and copyright is that patents are for THINGS. Copyright is for an idea. So, if you've come up with a great new invention, like for example, a condiment gun, you should get a patent. We'll also talk about some of the limitations and problems of patents, including patent trolls

I’m on a train!
I’m listening
To all the sounds
The engine makes!
And ‘neath the train
There are some tracks!
The train goes Clicka Clacka!
I’m on a train!
I’m on a train!
I’m listening
To all the sounds
The engine makes!
And on this train
There are some wheels!
The train goes Clicka Clacka! Chugga Chugga
I’m on a train!
I’m on a train!
I’m listening
To all the sounds
The engine makes!
And on this train
There is a whistle!
The train goes Clicka Clacka! Chugga Chugga, Choo! Choo!
I’m on a train!
I’m on a train!
I’m listening
To all the sounds
The engine makes!
And on this train
There’s a conductor!
The train goes Clicka Clacka! Chugga Chugga, Choo! Choo! “All aboard!”
I’m on a train!
I’m on a train!
I’m listening
To all the sounds
The engine makes!
And on this train
We say goodbye!

The abacus predates the alphabet and the invention of glass, but its use can help modern day students increase their math proficiency and understanding. Ulrich Boser, the author of Learn Better, studied how the abacus requires decomposition -- a way of thinking about numbers and their pairs -- that is included in the common-core standards. Using an abacus helps students foster a mind-body connection, utilize their short term memory, and grow their confidence, all which help kids learn better. In this video, Boser, a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, challenges his daughters to solve math problems using a Japanese abacus. ____________________

Students investigate the weather from a systems approach, learning how individual parts of a system work together to create a final product. They learn how a barometer works to measure the Earth's air pressure by building a model using simple materials. Students analyze the changes in barometer measurements over time and compare those to actual weather conditions. They learn how to use a barometer to understand air pressure and predict real-world weather changes.

What are you waiting for? The digestive system and digestion
Hello friends, and welcome to a new Happy Learning video. Today we are going to learn about the digestive system and digestion.
So that our body can make the most of the food we eat, it must first transform it into a simpler substance called nutrients. These nutrients are then transported by our blood around our body to be used and converted into energy. This food transformation process is called digestion and is done by the digestive system.
The digestive system is a very long tube threw which food travels and is made up of the following parts:
The mouth; this is where the digestion journey begins. The teeth both chop and grin up the food we eat. Once it has been made into a ball, it is pushed down the food pipe, to the pharynx.
The pharynx is a cavity which shares the digestive system with the respiratory system. It is from the pharynx that the food goes to the esophagus.
The esophagus is a soft muscular tube that moves food further down to the stomach.
The stomach is a widening of the digestive tube. It creates a movement which allows food to mix with gastric fluids. Once this process has been done, it then travels to the small intestine.
The small intestine, is called small because of its width not its length. It's actually much longer than the large intestine, measuring up to 7 meters in length, almost as wide as a football goal from post to post. Well it is here, in the small intestine, were the food digestion journey ends. Now it is up to fluids processed by two glands, the liver and the pancreas, to finalize the transformation of food into nutrients.
Once the food is converted into nutrients, they then traverse the small intestines walls and filter into our blood where they are then made good use of, by all of our body´s cells. But what happens to all the food that our body doesn't need? All that, such a fiber, for example, is transferred to the large intestine.
The large intestine is a thick tube which accumulates substances which our organism cannot digest and is also where water from these substances is absorbed. These substances then form the fecal matter, or what we call poop, which comes out of the anus. Agghh, it sounds a little bit discussing but that's how our body works.
Anyway friends, I hope you found the digestion system and digestion as interesting as I did.
See you later, and don't forget to subscribe to Happy Learning.

——
Hello Happy Friends, Are you ready to Learn? I’m Sarah
Today, we’re going to go over everything we know about… cells! With a Q&A game!
Let’s start!
Which one of these living things is composed by cells?
Aniamals and plants
Placton or
All living things
Of course! All living things!
Let’s get to know a little more...
Cells are the smallest parts in living things, and we are all composed... by cells. Some, only have a single cell and we call them unicellular, for example, some bacteria. Others have many cells and we call them multicellular, like animals… or plants. By the way.. Did you know that human beings have hundreds of billions of cells?
Wow! Interesting!
Yes, we do have cells, indeed.
Let’s head to the next question. This one is a little bit tougher.
Which is the most important part of a cell?
Membrane
Nucleus
Or cytoplasm
Oh look! The most important part is the nucleus, but there are other parts which are also very important.
Let’s get to know a little more about them.
In these images, you can see a cell and its most important parts. But you need to know that the nucleus is the most important organelle of all and that’s why we make it stand out from the rest. The nucleus is like the brain in a cell and it controls its functions. Within it, there are genes, which transmit the hereditary characteristics from parent to offspring. These crocodile babies look very similar to their parents, because of genes.
The truth is that when they’re small, they’re so cute, but when they grow up… not so much.
Have you been paying attention to the explanation and observed the cell diagram properly? Yes? Well then you’re going to find the next question very easy.
What can we find in the cytoplasm?
The membrane
The cell wall
The organelle
Or bacterias
Of course! The organelle! Let’s look at the diagram again to learn a little more
The cytoplasm, what a werid word! Is a liquid substance which is found between the membrane… and the nucleus, and here, in the cytoplasm, we can find… the organelle. The organelle are different between themselves and each one has a distinct function. Some, for example, some are in charge of digesting food and others of eliminating waste.
That’s so cool! I love learning so many new things. As always, I’ll tell you that the most important thing is not having answered all the questions correctly, but rather having learnt and always wanting to learn more.
Goodbye Happy Friends, See you next time!
I hope you’re always ready to learn!
Goodbyee!
