This video is a virtual math worksheet for changing decimals to a percent. To change a decimal to a percent, you are going to multiply your decimal by 100 as percent means "per 100". To do that, you move the decimal to the right 2 spaces. Once you move the decimal, add your percent sign nd you are done!

FOR ANSWERS TO THE BONUS QUESTION visit my post here: https://improvedmath.com/how-t....o-change-decimals-to

Improved math is a channel created to provide additional instruction on essential math concepts. I’m passionate about math and I know first-hand how important math concepts are in the real world.

Teachers, parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and students can use these videos to help reinforce math skills. These math videos are designed to help teach yourself math or provide self-study math tools to assist when additional instruction is needed. Teaching math and learning math has changed the way many students learn in this virtual environment. Having on-demand math videos can provide math tutoring needed when children are not able to get help from their teachers after school hours or when trying to do math at home.

The library of math tutorials that I create can also be used as supplemental instructional material for homeschool math. Each full-length video comes with a subsequent knowledge check or math practice problems which serve as a virtual math topic worksheet to test your understanding of each skill. These videos can be paused to work out the problems on your own, then unpaused to check your answers. All of these videos can be found under the Knowledge Check playlist.

I also have a library of shorter videos (less than 1 minute in length - shorts) that are quick math tips and tricks on basic math topics. Some of these short math help videos include problems that you can work on yourself and submit your answers in the comments. They are all listed under my Math Tips and Tricks playlist.

Improved math is creating more videos every day to cover topics from 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th-grade math. The videos focus on fractions, basic math operations, geometry, and ratios but more topics are being added all the time. If there is a specific topic you would like to see covered, drop me a comment in one of my videos and let me know!

Free math help videos will be posted every Thursday and Friday. For additional math resources, check out my math help website at improvedmath.com where I post math worksheets and answers along with additional context on math basics.

Electronegativity is a measure of an atom's ability to attract shared electrons to itself. On the periodic table, electronegativity generally increases as you move from left to right across a period and decreases as you move down a group. As a result, the most electronegative elements are found on the top right of the periodic table, while the least electronegative elements are found on the bottom left.

Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. We offer quizzes, questions, instructional videos, and articles on a range of academic subjects, including math, biology, chemistry, physics, history, economics, finance, grammar, preschool learning, and more. Joseph Williams, the technology director in California’s Perris Union High School District, demands fast responses to IT problems and insists on keeping close connections to teaching and learning by sitting in on lessons and coaching his colleagues. Williams oversees a $3.2 million technology budget that supports Chromebooks for all 10,700 students, has dramatically expanded opportunities for students and staff to learn computer science, and provides “maker spaces” for hands-on student building and creation.

“What I didn’t want to do was try to effect change by riding a desk,” Williams says. “I needed to be able to lead from the classroom.”

Mathematical discoveries happen every day. PEMDAS wasn’t even a thing until the 1900s! In this K12 Teaching Moment, our host, David, will walk you through the order of operations and how it became standardized across the world.

Scroll down to see the answer and how it is solved...

How to Solve: 20 − 5 ÷ (2+3)
Step 1: Solve what is in the parentheses (PEMDAS) first, so 2+3 = 5
Now the equation is 20 – 5 ÷ 5
Step 2: Do the division (PEMDAS), so 5 ÷ 5 = 1
Now the equation is 20 – 1
Step 3: Subtract the final numbers (PEMDAS), so 20 – 1 =19
And the answer is 19!
