👉 Learn how to add and subtract mixed numbers. Mixed numbers are numbers with two parts: the whole number part and the fraction part. Mixed numbers are ways to represent improper fractions using proper fractions.
To add or subtract mixed numbers, we first convert the mixed numbers to improper fractions by multiplying the whole number with the denominator and adding the result to the numerator, this becomes the new numerator and we retain the original denominator. After we have converted the mixed numbers to improper fraction we can now add or subtract the fractions.
Alternatively, we can split the mixed numbers and add the whole number parts separately and the fraction parts separately and then join the results.

Google just dropped a massive wave of AI updates for the Gemini app, completely overhauling the interface and introducing actual autonomous agents that can run tasks in the background.
In this exclusive interview, I sit down with Jeff Huang, the head of engineering for the Gemini app, to find out exactly how these new features work. We break down everything from the ground-up UI rebuild powered by the "Neural Expressive" design language (and iOS Liquid Glass) to the brand-new underlying engine driving advanced multimodal capabilities: the Omni model.
But the absolute biggest announcement from the engineering team is a brand-new feature called Spark. Jeff explains how Spark fundamentally shifts Gemini from a simple chatbot into a true autonomous assistant that can execute multi-step workflows, handle your "Daily Brief," and run scheduled automations called "heartbeats".
We also take a look at a hidden desktop voice hack that filters out filler words in real time, and look down the road at Google's ultimate North Star: hands-free AI interactions through smart glasses.

Students discover fluid dynamics related to buoyancy through experimentation and optional photography. Using one set of fluids, they make light fluids rise through denser fluids. Using another set, they make dense fluids sink through a lighter fluid. In both cases, they see and record beautiful fluid motion. Activities are also suitable as class demonstrations.
