In which John Green teaches you about Vikings! That's right, one of our most requested subjects, the Vikings, right here on Crash Course. So what's the deal with Vikings? Well, the stuff you've heard about them may not be true. The Vikings weren't just pagan raiders striking terror into the hearts of defenseless European Christendom. They were some of the greatest travelers of their time, and they weren't always traveling to steal. In a lot of cases, they were traveling to trade. John will teach you about Viking trade goods, Norse Mythology, and yes, there will be blood, guts, and dragons. OK?

4th Grade Vocabulary Part one in the series provides students with words to expand their vocabulary. Lessons are formatted to provide easy learning. Each video in this series will create an atmosphere conducive to remembering the material presented. A test video is also available for each word list.

Welcome to the Complete K12 Essentials Youtube channel!

Many offerings online lean on animation to capture a child’s attention, which to a certain extent works, but they lose interest rapidly and the opportunities for learning are significantly reduced. This is especially true when the child has no obligation to retain the material or accountability to a teacher.

Navigating through the material suitable for each grade level is a difficult task at best, so we have created the “SAFE LEARNING PLACE” logo and apply it to all of our videos to show you our dedication to providing good learning material that can be trusted across our whole channel.

The curriculum will cover Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Technology, Music, Art, Health and Fitness, Foreign Languages, Life Skills, Career training, History and Law.

Writing short sentences all the time an get pretty boring. Conjunctions are a way to spice up your prose! In Conjunctions for Kids, you will learn about the three different types of conjunctions and how they work in sentences. Conjunctions can combine words, phrases, and sentences. But this video concentrates specifically on combining sentences.

Sometimes, using conjunctions in your writing can make it more interesting, and even easier to understand! But what exactly is a conjunction? Well, let's first explain what a junction is. A junction is a place where two different things come together. Think of a train junction where a road meets train tracks. Conjunctions do the same things in language.

Coordinating conjunctions are the ones you might be the most familiar with. These are the words like and, but, and or. A common acronym people use to remember the seven coordinating conjunctions is FANBOYS: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so. If you can remember that acronym, it will really easy to remember the coordinating conjunctions!

Another type of conjunction is the correlative. To correlate means to compare or relate. These conjunctions are used in pairs to combine alternative or equal elements. Examples of correlative conjunctions include either/or, if/then, and not only/but also. Subordinating conjunctions are the last type. These are words or phrases that connect dependent clauses to independent clauses. You can also use subordinating conjunctions to introduce adverb clauses.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning how to identify different types of conjunctions! If you want even more practice, head over to our website and download one of our many lesson plans about conjunctions, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Hello Happy friends!
Are you ready to learn?

I’m Sarah, and today, we’re going to talk about our sight and optical illusions.

Do you know what an optical illusion is?
Human beings, are visual beings. That means, that we identify almost anything with our sight, It’s our most important sense.

The light entering our eyes, goes directly to our brain, through electrical signals, and this is where they are transformed into real images, which is what we really see.

Although, at times, our brain can trick us!
It make us see things, that aren’t really what we think they look like, and these are, optical illusions.

Today. We’re going to look at some of the top 5 most shocking optical illusions.
They are amazing!

Look at this image!
Do you think that the horizontal lines are straight and parallel to each other?
I don’t think so!
I think there’s even some that are curved!

But, if we get rid of the black squares…
We can verify that they are completely straight and parallel to each other.
It’s honestly mind-blowing!

Let’s take a look at the second optical illusion.
Which one of the middle circles do you think is bigger?
Mmm… I think its the left one.
But… They are exactly the same!

It’s incredible!
Let’s see the next one!
Look at this image.
What animal can you see here?
If you’ve seen a duck, you’re right!
But you could have also seen, a jumping rabbit! Look!

And now, look at this image
What does the square look like?
Is it like this? Or like this?
I’m sure it’s the curved one!
Let’s make sure!
Hmm… It’s actually not… Let’s see…
It’s the straight lined one! We’ve been tricked by our brains once again!

And now, to finish off, we’re going to see my favorite optical illusion.
How many animals can you see?
I can see an elephant, a horse, a dog, a cat, and a mouse!
Can you see any more?
Hmmm… Wait! I see a gorilla!

I love optical illusions! I find them so much fun!

Goodbye happy friends! See you next time!

I hope you’re always ready to learn!

Goodbye!

Hello Happy friends! Are you ready to learn?I’m Sarah, and today, I want to talk to you about animals that disappeared from Earth a long time ago, exactly 65 million years ago!Do you know what animals I’m talking about?Well done! Today, we’re going to learn about why the dinosaurs vanished from Earth! The word Dinosaur means Terrible lizard. But… Not all dinosaurs looked like lizards, and not all were terrible!Actually, did you know that some of them used to fly, and had feathers? They looked similar to birds, rather than lizards! Look! Like this one! Dinosaurs, lived on earth for 150 million years, and they left many footprints behind. But… We still don’t know why they disappeared.
There are various theories, but the one supported by most scientists, and the most believable one, is…. the meteorite theory!Apparently, a great asteroid hit the Earth, and created a huge explosion.
This great explosion, made the climate on Earth undergo dramatic changes. It changed from humid and warm, to cold, and very dry.
This climate change caused by the meteorite, destroyed all the dinosaurs in our planet. But, fortunately, it didn’t terminate all animal species that were there at the time.

Do you know some of the animals that saved their lives? For example, birds and crocodiles! I think it’s so cool, because I love birds… Although… I’m not such a big fan of crocodiles, because I’m a little scared of them.Oh-oh, there’s one coming here! I’m leaving!!!Goodbye Happy Friends,I hope you’re always ready to learn! Bye!

🔹 How AI "learns" from data—with everyday, relatable examples
🔹 What powers modern AI: massive datasets, feedback loops, and neural networks
🔹 The mysterious black box problem—why even developers sometimes cannot explain AI decisions
🔹 The everyday AI you already use: NLP, Generative AI (like ChatGPT), Computer Vision, and more
🔹 What’s real and what’s myth about Weak AI, Strong AI (AGI), and Super AI
🔹 How AI affects jobs—and how to stay relevant in a changing tech landscape

This is not a video meant for AI experts. This is a video for you. The goal?
To help you stop fearing AI—and start understanding it.

The Brain Eating Amoeba
A war has been going on for billions of years that breeds well armed monsters who struggle with other monsters for survival. Having no particular interest in us, most of them are relatively harmless, as our immune systems deal with their weapons handily. But there are exceptions.
Naegleria fowleri is an amoeba that not only has developed a deadly taste for human brains but is also a match for our defenses and a guest in dramatic headlines. What happens when this monster enters your body?

This video shows the step-by-step process in multiplying fractions.

In multiplying fractions multiply the numerators and multiply also the denominators. Express the answer in lowest term if necessary.

Another way to multiply fractions is to use cancelation method. This is very useful in multiplying fractions with bigger numbers.

This biology video tutorial provides a basic introduction into photosynthesis - the process by which plants use energy from sunlight to convert Carbon Dioxide and Water into Oxygen gas and sugars such as Glucose. Photosynthesis can be broken into two stages: The light dependent reactions and the light independent reactions also known as the Calvin Cycle or dark reactions. In the light dependent reactions, Water is oxidized into Oxygen gas by Photosystem II which transports the electrons in through the electron transport chain inside the thylakoid membrane eventually producing high energy molecules like ATP and NADPH. ATP is produced by the enzyme ATP Synthase in a process called Chemiosmosis very similar to cellular respiration. The Calvin Cycle takes in CO2, ATP, and NADPH to produce G3P which is later used to make sugars like Glucose and Fructose.
