Recycling waste into new products reduces the amount of materials that would have been needed if the product had to be made all over again and is very beneficial for the planet!

In addition, we teach kids how to reduce, reuse, and recycle and give them real life applications so each child can start today. After completing this video and finishing the FREE Recycling lesson plan (link below) your student(s) will be able to define recycling, identify common items that are recycled, and list the three steps to successful recycling. In this video, we are revisiting the big book we read yesterday, to add more to our words by creating another sentence together. The students are chosen by using their words their way data and sight word knowledge.

What happens when single photons of light pass through a double slit and are detected by a photomultiplier tube? In 1801 Thomas Young seemed to settle a long-running debate about the nature of light with his double slit experiment. He demonstrated that light passing through two slits creates patterns like water waves, with the implication that it must be a wave phenomenon.

However, experimental results in the early 1900s found that light energy is not smoothly distributed as in a classical wave, rather it comes in discrete packets, called quanta and later photons. These are indivisible particles of light. So what would happen if individual photons passed through a double slit? Would they make a pattern like waves or like particles?

In this video, I will show you how to round decimals to the nearest hundredth. First, you need to identify the hundredth place value which is 2 to the right of the decimal. Next, look at the number next to the hundredth place on the right. If that number is 5 or greater, then you round up the hundredth place to the next digit. If it is 4 or less, you round down (which means keep it the same).
