In this video I'll teach you how to add dissimilar fractions step by step.

In adding dissimilar fractions we need to change dissimilar fractions to similar fractions first before adding. To change dissimilar fractions to similar fractions get the LCD and divide it by the denominator then multiply the answer by the old numerator. The product is the new numerator. When the fractions are already similar fractions add the numerators and copy the LCD. Express the answer in lowest term.
