#fractions #homeschoolmath #math #homeschool #dividingfractions

This video walks you through 4 examples of dividing fractions. The key to dividing fractions is to remember the acronym KFC, which means keep, flip and change.

You want to keep your first fraction the same, flip the second fraction to its reciprocal, and change the sign to multiply. The division problem now becomes a multiplication problem and you can multiply straight across.

Improved math is a channel created to provide additional instruction on essential math concepts. I’m passionate about math and I know first-hand how important math concepts are in the real world.

Teachers, parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and students can use these videos to help reinforce math skills. These math videos are designed to help teach yourself math or provide self-study math tools to assist when additional instruction is needed. Teaching math and learning math has changed the way many students learn in this virtual environment. Having on-demand math videos can provide math tutoring needed when children are not able to get help from their teachers after school hours or when trying to do math at home.

The library of math tutorials that I create can also be used as supplemental instructional material for homeschool math. Each full-length video comes with a subsequent knowledge check or math practice problems which serve as a virtual math topic worksheet to test your understanding of each skill. These videos can be paused to work out the problems on your own, then unpaused to check your answers. All of these videos can be found under the Knowledge Check playlist.

I also have a library of shorter videos (less than 1 minute in length - shorts) that are quick math tips and tricks on basic math topics. Some of these short math help videos include problems that you can work on yourself and submit your answers in the comments. They are all listed under my Math Tips and Tricks playlist.

Improved math is creating more videos every day to cover topics from 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th-grade math. The videos focus on fractions, basic math operations, geometry, and ratios but more topics are being added all the time. If there is a specific topic you would like to see covered, drop me a comment in one of my videos and let me know!

Free math help videos will be posted every Thursday and Friday. For additional math resources, check out my math help website at improvedmath.com where I post math worksheets and answers along with additional context on math basics.

Real life examples of the Three Laws of Motion
Real life examples of the Three Laws of Motion Teacherflix 3 Views • 2 years ago

3 Laws of motion
in this video, I cover real-life examples of the three laws of motion.
Law 1 or the law of Inertia—states that matter wants to resist any change in motion
The speed or motion of an object will not change unless an outside force acts on it.
For example, this bowling ball would travel in straight line forever, but the friction of the floor, and air, plus the pins are outside forces and change the velocity of the bowling ball.
Astronauts appear to float in space because there is very little gravity pulling down on them So when they change their velocity upward the force of gravity is not pulling down on them and they can float.

If you are driving a car and it hits another car, the car stops but the people inside keep moving forward.
The outside force has acted on the car and not the person in the car. This is the same way a catapult works. The lever stops but the object keeps moving.

Law 2 of Motion

Newton’s 2nd Law: “The acceleration of an object depends on the force acting on it_ and the mass of the object

There is an equation associated with this law:

F= ma
Force = mass multiplied by acceleration

Think of shopping for groceries. The mass of an empty shopping cart is less than a full shopping cart so takes much less force to push the empty cart compared to pushing a cart that is filled up with stuff

Law Three

Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion --“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

As the boy jumps down on the trampoline the trampoline pushes back in the opposite direction and causes the boy to go in the opposite direction.

As the balloon hits the ground the ground pushes back in an opposite direction which causes the balloon to change direction and move in the opposite direction.

Learn Feelings and Emotions for Kids by RV AppStudios | Happy, Sad, Fear, Anger and Surprise
Learn Feelings and Emotions for Kids by RV AppStudios | Happy, Sad, Fear, Anger and Surprise Teacherflix 2 Views • 7 months ago

Kids learn a little differently than adults, especially toddlers! 👶 This video of emotion flashcards is a fun way to help kids learn how to express themselves more easily, all in a safe and supportive environment. Lucas 🦁, Ruby 🐰, Lilly 🐱, and Brody 🐻 show different feelings on the video. You can tell your kids to watch the facial expressions and say whether Lucas is happy 😊, Lilly is angry 😠, Brody is sad 😔, Ruby is scared 😨, etc. It's easy, but both fun and informative.

The feelings flashcards video is very beneficial for all children, but especially kids with autism. ✔️ This video makes it easy for parents, teachers, and grandparents to assist children who find it difficult to share how they feel. 🤩 It also helps kids understand how emotions look, what they mean, and how to convey those feelings themselves.

👉🏻 Make communication easy and fun for your loved little ones. 🔅 We understand how hard it is for children with special needs to express themselves!

COMMUNICATION for Kids 💬 Characteristics and Types 🗣️ Sender, Receiver, Message, Channel and Code
COMMUNICATION for Kids 💬 Characteristics and Types 🗣️ Sender, Receiver, Message, Channel and Code Teacherflix 2 Views • 7 months ago

Educational video for kids that talks about the characteristics and types of communication. Communication is how we transmit and receive information. It allows us to share ideas and express our emotions. In all communication, there are the following elements: the sender, the receiver, the message, the channel and the code. The sender is the person who transmits the information. The receiver is the person who receives that information. The message is the information being transmitted. The channel is how that information is shared. The code is the system used to transmit the information (i.e. the language, such as Spanish, English or Chinese).

Communication can be both verbal and non-verbal. Verbal communication takes place when we use words or sign language. It is spoken or written language, like what we use in a conversation or when writing a letter or a text message to a friend. Non-verbal communication occurs through gestures, images or sounds. It goes beyond what we say with words. For example, waving allows us to communicate with others without using words.

This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect to explain to children what communication is. It is an excellent video for elementary school.
