Are you ready to learn?
I’m Sarah, and today, I want to talk to you about animals that disappeared from Earth a looong time ago, exactly 65 million years ago!
Do you know what animals I’m talking about?
Well done! Today, we’re going to learn about why the dinosaurs vanished from Earth!
The word Dinosaur. means Terrible lizard.
But… Not all dinosaurs looked like lizards, and not all were terrible!
Actually, did you know that some of them used to fly, and had feathers?
They looked similar to birds, rather than lizards!
Look! Like this one!
Dinosaurs, lived on earth for 150 million years, and they left many footprints behind.
But… We still don’t know why they disappeared.
There are various theories, but the one supported by most scientists, and the most believable one, is…. the meteorite theory!
Apparently, a great asteroid hit the Earth, and created a huuge explosion.
This great explosion, made the climate on Earth undergo dramatic changes.
It changed from humid and warm, to cold, and very dry.
This climate change caused by the meteorite, destroyed all the dinosaurs in our planet.
But, fortunately, it didn’t terminate all animal species that were there at the time.
Do you know some of the animals that saved their lives?
For example, birds and crocodiles!
I think it’s so cool, because I love birds…
Although… I’m not such a big fan of crocodiles, because I’m a little scared of them.
Oh-oh, there’s one coming here! I’m leaving!!!

In geometry we are concerned with the nature of these shapes, how we define them, and what they teach us about the world at large--from math to architecture to biology to astronomy (and everything in between). Learning geometry is about more than just taking your medicine ("It's good for you!"), it's at the core of everything that exists--including you. Having said all that, some of the specific topics we'll cover include angles, intersecting lines, right triangles, perimeter, area, volume, circles, triangles, quadrilaterals, analytic geometry, and geometric constructions.
