The Second World War is known for its brutality, with both the Allies and the Axis powers fighting tooth and nail for supremacy.
In spite of this, however, there were some incidents in which soldiers from one side actively or inadvertently aided their enemies. Whether this was done out of a sense of morality, ideology, or some reason known only to them, here are a few examples of when Axis and Allies worked together.

Students work in teams of two to discover the relative positions of the Earth, Sun and Moon that produce the different phases of the Moon. Groups are each given a Styrofoam ball that they attach to a pencil so that it looks like a lollipop. In this acting-out model exercise, this ball on a stick represents the Moon, the students represent the Earth and a hanging lightbulb serves as the Sun. Students move the "Moon" around them to discover the different phases. They fill in the position of the Moon and its corresponding phase in a worksheet.

Students dream up and draw their own designs for futuristic and fanciful flying machines. They learn that doodling, sketching and brainstorming are related to the invention process, and about the early inventions that contributed to the history of flight and the state of modern aircraft. For brainstorming practice, they generate ideas for creative alternate uses for every day objects. Then, guided by a worksheet, they use their imaginations and apply their knowledge of aircraft design and the forces acting on them (gained from the previous lessons in the Airplanes unit) to design and create their own innovative flying machine models made from classroom construction and recycled

The periodic table is a chart that organizes all known elements based on their atomic structure and properties. We'll dive into the history of the periodic table, from its early beginnings to its modern form. We'll also explore the structure of the table, including the groups and periods, and how it can be used to predict the behavior of elements. Additionally, we'll discuss the properties of the elements and the significance of their placement in the periodic table. Join us on this journey to unlock the secrets of the periodic table and gain a better understanding of the fundamental building blocks of matter.

Why did Dinosaurs become extinct?
Hello Happy friends!
Are you ready to learn?
I’m Sarah, and today, I want to talk to you about animals that disappeared from Earth a looong time ago, exactly 65 million years ago!
Do you know what animals I’m talking about?
Well done! Today, we’re going to learn about why the dinosaurs vanished from Earth!
The word Dinosaur. means Terrible lizard.
But… Not all dinosaurs looked like lizards, and not all were terrible!
Actually, did you know that some of them used to fly, and had feathers?
They looked similar to birds, rather than lizards!
Look! Like this one!
Dinosaurs, lived on earth for 150 million years, and they left many footprints behind.
But… We still don’t know why they disappeared.
There are various theories, but the one supported by most scientists, and the most believable one, is…. the meteorite theory!
Apparently, a great asteroid hit the Earth, and created a huuge explosion.
This great explosion, made the climate on Earth undergo dramatic changes.
It changed from humid and warm, to cold, and very dry.
This climate change caused by the meteorite, destroyed all the dinosaurs in our planet.
But, fortunately, it didn’t terminate all animal species that were there at the time.
Do you know some of the animals that saved their lives?
For example, birds and crocodiles!
I think it’s so cool, because I love birds…
Although… I’m not such a big fan of crocodiles, because I’m a little scared of them.
Oh-oh, there’s one coming here! I’m leaving!!!
Goodbye Happy Friends,
I hope you’re always ready to learn!
Byee!

Probability and statistics on Khan Academy: We dare you to go through a day in which you never consider or use probability. Did you check the weather forecast? Busted! Did you decide to go through the drive through lane vs walk in? Busted again! We are constantly creating hypotheses, making predictions, testing, and analyzing. Our lives are full of probabilities! Statistics is related to probability because much of the data we use when determining probable outcomes comes from our understanding of statistics. In these tutorials, we will cover a range of topics, some which include: independent events, dependent probability, combinatorics, hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics, random variables, probability distributions, regression, and inferential statistics. So buckle up and hop on for a wild ride. We bet you're going to be challenged AND love it!
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.
