Our bodies do a lot of weird things, and many of them are completely involuntary. Why do we often jerk our bodies awake right before falling asleep? Why do we yawn? Why do we hiccup? Why do some people sneeze when they look at the sun? And why does your eye twitch? This week we'll look at the science behind these crazy involuntary behaviors!

It's Kids Academy and welcome back to our channel! Singing Christmas carols is a tradition that many enjoy doing each Christmas. Children especially enjoy singing the songs of the holiday season. One of the first Christmas songs for kids that children learn to sing is the Jingle Bells song. This timeless song has a fun melody and easy lyrics. Children and adults of all ages enjoy singing this holiday tune.
Singing Christmas carols is not only fun but educational as well. When children sing and participate in musical activities the part of the brain that controls language and reasoning activates. Listening skills improve and children express their creativity as well. For young children, there is the opportunity to learn new vocabulary and young learners feel a sense of accomplishment when they learn the Jingle Bells song and can share it with friends and family.
The video opens with the cheerful music of Jingle Bells and children being pulled across the snow-covered scene by a horse and sleigh. The children arrive at the center of their town where there is a Christmas tree. A star magically falls from the sky and lands perfectly on the top of the tree. Snowflakes fall from the sky and turn into decorations for the tree. As the music plays, the lyrics to the song appear at the top of the screen making it easy to read and sing along. Once the tree is decorated, Santa himself flies in the sky over the picturesque Christmas scene. The video captures the magic of the holiday season and delights viewers of all ages.
Teach the Jingle Bells song to your students and children in the school or home classroom with this video. Whether you plan on singing this song in a school program or around the Christmas tree with family, this video enables children to learn the words and melody in a fun and easy way.

The benefits of young children experiencing music and singing songs are numerous. Kids Academy brings classic songs to children to sing along with and enjoy each day.
Each video provides the song lyrics, music, and an animated story that keeps children interested. Giggles abound when toddlers and preschoolers watch the Ten in the Bed Song. Ten fun characters climb in one bed, and one by one, they roll over and fall out. Children learn the names of number words and also counting backward.
In the Baa, Baa Black Sheep song, a delightful story is told that keeps children watching, listening, and singing along. Children may be surprised to learn where wool comes from and what is made from wool!
If children need a soothing song to relax to, then the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is perfect. Calm vocals with a charming nighttime story scene are sure to settle your little ones after a busy day of learning and fun.
And finally, the What’s Your Name song is perfect for learning how to ask a new friend their name. This social skill is sometimes difficult for children who are hesitant to meet new friends. It is an excellent resource for students learning English too. Children sing along and then know the words to say if they don’t know another person’s name and want to find out.
Incorporating music and singing into your classroom each day brings happiness to your younger students and promotes a positive teaching environment. Singing teaches children vocabulary and language. Through songs, children learn how language is constructed and children hear and practice rhyme. The classic nursery rhyme songs teach rhythm, beat, and tone too.
Enjoy the song clips at home or in the classroom. Your students and children will be singing along in no time at all!

Welcome our new video: Mental Math Strategies and Activities for Kids | Kids Academy
Math strategies and activities for kids are the healthiest activities for kids and their brains. The more they work with math the sharper their minds become. If you can build a strong grip of a child on math at this early age he/she can easily handle the upcoming massive difficult mathematics that waits for them in higher standards.
There are a number of mental math strategies that you can adapt to make your child mathematics strong.
1. Mad minutes
In this strategy, the student will answer as many math questions as possible in 60 seconds. It is a series of daily activities and is uses focused and theme-based math problems. It enables a sharp mind to work quickly. A good practice of this game will train the brain to work quickly and solve problems quickly.
2. Number Talks
This strategy can make add a lot easier for kids. It might not be the perfect way to add but it can help kids to understand the concept on a basic level. For example, if the question is 5+5. So simply you count to 5, then to add next 5, you count the next 5 numbers, that is 6,7,8,9,10. This gives you an answer of 10 so 5+5=10.
This trick can make addition or subtraction very easy for kids.
3. Number songs
Things that rhyme is the easiest to remember that is why you remember even the songs you heard years ago because the rhythm stays in your brain. So why not learn math with rhythm too.
You can make a song or anything in math, just add some words that rhyme with each other and that will help you remember all the steps that you need to perform in a question. As you sing the song you will complete the steps.
So, these were some mental math strategies that you can use with kids to make their math stronger.
Welcome to our new videos of matching objects with animals funny and interactive.

Educational video for children that talks about the divisibility rules of the number 9. The divisibility rules allow us to know quickly if when dividing one number by the other, the remainder is zero. A divisor is a number that divides into another number. Each number has its own divisibility rules. Some are based on adding all the digits of the number, others on looking at its last digits, and some on doing some simple operations. The divisibility rule for 9 is similar to that of the number 3. We have to add the number's digits and divide the result by 9. If the remainder is zero, it's divisible by 9.
This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect for teaching the divisibility rule of the number 9. It is an excellent video for primary education.

This algebra 2 and precalculus video tutorial explains how to determine whether a function f is even, odd, or neither algebraically and using graphs. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems using variables and constants. First, plug in -x into the equation and see if the sign changes. If all signs change, it's an odd function. If they all remain the same, then it's an even function. If some change while others do not, the function is neither even or odd. For graphs, even functions are symmetric about the y axis. For odd functions, the symmetry exists about the origin. For circles with even and odd properties, it does not pass the vertical line test and is therefore not a function.

This week Craig looks at the expressed powers of the President of the United States - that is the ones you can find in the Constitution. From appointing judges and granting pardons, to vetoing laws and acting as the nation’s chief diplomat on foreign policy, the Commander in Chief is a pretty powerful person, but actually not as powerful as you might think. The Constitution also limits presidential powers to maintain balance among the three branches of government. Next week we'll talk about the President's powers NOT mentioned in the Constitution - implied powers.

It explains how to calculate the tension force in a rope for a object descending with a downward acceleration using newton's laws of motion. it also discusses how to use free body diagrams and the weight force to calculate the tension force in two ropes at different angles. There's another tension force physics problem that asks you to calculate the tension in two cables / ropes where one rope is in the horizontal direction and the second rope is at an angle.

Now that we’ve started talking about identity, today Hank tackles the question of personhood. Philosophers have tried to assess what constitutes personhood with a variety of different criteria, including genetic, cognitive, social, sentience, and the gradient theory. As with many of philosophy’s great questions, this has much broader implications than simple conjecture. The way we answer this question informs all sorts of things about the way we move about the world, including our views on some of our greatest social debates.
