To reduce proper fractions to lowest terms get the gcf of the numerator and denominator and divide them by their GCF.
To simplify improper fractions just divide the numerator by the denominator. The quotient will be the whole number, the remainder is the numerator and the denominator is still the same.

👉 Learn how to solve two step linear equations. A linear equation is an equation whose highest exponent on its variable(s) is 1. To solve for a variable in a two step linear equation, we first isolate the variable by using inverse operations (addition or subtraction) to move like terms to different sides of the equality sign. After evaluating like terms we then also use inverse operations (multiplication or division) to remove any multiple (or fraction) to the variable.

We know that suffixes are added to the end of words to change their meaning and to form new words. So, let's see what these suffixes can do.
-er
When we add -er to a word it makes a word that means a person who does something. For example:
• Painter
• Singer
• Player
- ness
When we add -ness to a word it means ‘the act of’. Which means that something is being done with some kind of quality. For example:
• Greatness
• Kindness
• Happiness
So that’s a brief lesson on the suffixes -er and -ness. A good storybook would be perfect for the kid to spot out words ending with these suffixes. Help the kid find these words and choose a storybook of the kid’s choice. The kid needs to be interested in what he is reading, only then he/she will be interested to find out words from this book.

When teaching math, number sense is critical for success. Having “number sense” means that students have certain skills that allow them to work successfully with numbers. One of these critical skills is understanding quantity. This understanding begins with the ability to count numbers.
Counting to 100 is a goal for most students working on Kindergarten level math. Counting for 1st grade includes counting to 1000 or beyond. When students recognize and understand the pattern when they count numbers, the sky is the limit!
Kids Academy provides engaging and instructional videos for students that teach about number patterns when counting. Videos include fun clips with singing and dancing numbers as well as instructional videos with experienced teachers demonstrating number concepts with worksheets.
Different strategies are used when teaching counting for kids. These videos use number lines to clearly show students how counting from 107 to 120 is much like counting from 7 to 20.
Videos about numbers for 1st grade include worksheets and instruction on choosing numbers that are before and after a given number, and the teachers use different strategies to solve the problem including adding and subtracting, number lines, and counters.
Students that have difficulty with number sense struggle with basic math operations. These learners benefit from a variety of teaching methods and strategies when learning math. Re-teaching and extra practice are critical for student success. The Kids Academy videos give teachers and parents more options for their learners. Students mastering counting are then ready to move to other math skills that include quantifying numbers, understanding more and less, and basic addition and subtraction. As students continue to learn, counting leads to an understanding of more complex skills such as solving multi-digit computations. Counting is the basis for this progression and a required skill for all students.

Learn to Play Chess - Expanded Chess Notation | Kids Academy
Chess is one of those games which help in increasing your child’s concentration. The most important thing which a child needs to know is the power and values of pieces. Here is a simple way to learn how to play chess in 10 minutes. Since every part has its strength and value, therefore, these are the things which need to be determined first. So, let’s begin!!!
Starting from the king; it is the most critical piece, and the opponents need to protect it to win the game. The weakest one in the game is Pawn which can attack two squares diagonally forward which makes it worth one point. Other than this is the knight who can attack eight squares in each direction and has more value than the pawn.
The bishop has even more powerful and can attack thirteen squares at a time. These are also the fast pieces and can move diagonally.
Moreover, there is a wall which can move 14 squares in any direction and tends to have more power and value than the knight and bishop.
Last but not least is the queen who is the strongest and can act like a bishop and a wall. In simple words, the queen holds the most power. Simple, isn’t it? If you want to learn more about chess make sure you practice and watch chess tutorials too!!!
