Work out the area of a circle by using pi (3.1415) and the radius (half the width or diameter of the circle) - so that Area - Pi x radius x radius.
We then work out perimeter of circles using pi and radius - so that circumference = 2 x Pi x radius.
Finaly we look at the volume of cylinders - which is the area of the circle x the height (or Pi x Radius x Radius x height).

It can be hard for parents to know how to have these conversations with young children. Teacher Naomi emphasizes that differences do not mean people are better or worse or good or bad. Rather, learning about people and getting to know them can help us build common bonds and friendships.

Caroline and Sophie continue the conversation and talk about how they are similar and different. Kids can think about ways they are similar and different from those in their own lives, along with ways to celebrate that diversity.
