En ligning med to ukjente har uendelig mange løsninger. Har vi derimot to ligninger, så kan vi finne ut hva de ukjente er. Dette kan gjøres på flere måter, og her får du se hvordan man løser et ligningssett med to ukjente ved hjelp av innsettingsmetoden. Trikset da er å få én av de ukjente alene på den ene siden av likhetstegnet.
