This week Craig Benzine talks about what happens when a case makes it to the Supreme Court of the United States (or the SCOTUS). We're going to focus on court procedure today. We talk about how to petition to get your case heard, how written arguments, or briefs, are made, what actually happens on the courtroom floor, and of course the variety of ways the SCOTUS issues opinions on cases.

Meet our chess lesson for kids: How Pawn Moves and Captures | Chess Lessons | Kids Academy
Pawn is a very weakest but interesting piece in chess. Each player has 8 pawns in one game.
How does it move?
As the game starts pawn has two choices. Either it can move one step ahead or it can move two steps. The two steps can only be moved when it is the starting square. After that, it can only move one step. They never go sideways, or backward.
How it captures?
Pawns capture diagonally. They cannot attack forward. It is different from how they move. If there is a piece in front of the pawn and there are no captures also, the pawn gets stuck there.
One thing to note here is that if a pawn is on its starting square and it can only move two steps forward at once. It cannot go one step forward and then capture a piece on its diagonal on the second move in one turn. A combination of forwarding square and capture is not allowed.
Pawns might be considered as the weakest piece of chess but when they all work together as a team they can win the game for you. Use them wisely and make them your power and the game is all yours.

What do you know about the continent of South America and its countries? In All about South America for Kids, you will learn facts about the geography, people, and history of the fifth largest continent in the world. You might already know some things about it, but let's see what else you can learn!
Speaking of geography, South America touches three of the five oceans: Pacific, Atlantic, and Antarctic (Southern). And only two of its countries are landlocked, meaning that they don't touch an ocean. The largest country is Brazil, which is home to the most populous city on the continent, Sao Paolo, which has almost 15 million people! The total population of Brazil overall is over 200 million, about half the number of people living on the entire continent.
One of the most famous landmarks in South America is Machu Picchu, an ancient landmark meaning old mountain that was discovered in 1911. Even though the Spanish captured much of the Incan civilization that lived along the Andes Mountains, they did not find Machu Picchu. This ancient city is one of the seven new wonders of the world.
South America boasts several other famous attractions, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, a 125-foot-tall statue overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is also one of the seven new wonders of the world. Another cool place is in Bolivia: Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat, spanning over 4,000 square miles! Lots of pink flamingos live on this prehistoric dry lake.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about this cool continent! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

What do you know about dinosaurs? The Mesozoic era divides into three smaller periods: Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous. To this day, scientists still debate about the cause of dinosaurs' extinction. Was it because lots of volcanoes erupted at the same time? Or was it because a meteor crashed into Earth and caused a ton of damage?
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about these four different dinosaurs! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about dinosaurs, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

A few days ago, I conducted a simple experiment. I scribbled a chaotic drone path over a map, fed it into Google’s newly released Gemini Omni model, and asked it to simulate a first-person drone view following that exact trajectory. What happened next completely broke AI Twitter.
Creators across the US, China, and the global AI community took this "scribble-to-video" concept and turned it into the ultimate stress test, pitting Google’s new foundational model against ByteDance’s powerful Seedance 2.0.
In this video, we are looking at the wildest community iterations, analyzing the results, and diving deep into the technical architecture. We aren't just looking at pretty pixels anymore. Models like Gemini Omni and Seedance 2.0 aren't text-to-video generators; they are natively multimodal, spatial world simulators that understand the physics of lighting, gravity, and structural depth.

This is the Map of Black Holes which isn’t a map of where all the black holes are in space, it’s a concept map of the subject of black holes: laying out our current knowledge of them. Their structure including Schwarzschild radius or event horizon, the singularity, photon sphere, innermost stable orbit, accretion disk, Hawking radiation and the difference between rotating and non-rotating black holes. I also look at the evidence for their existence, the many ways we have detected them though x-ray astronomy, gravitational wave astronomy and radio astronomy. Then the many outstanding mysteries still to be solved including wormholes, the holographic theory and information paradox. They are very fascinating objects indeed.

Description
In this video I will guide you through a complete breakdown of how “GPT-o1” differs from “GPT-4o,” reveal the pros and cons of each model, and share my best tips for prompting GPT-o1 to unlock powerful deep reasoning, coding, and research capabilities. You’ll also see how features like “Deep Research” can transform your workflow, whether you’re a developer, a student, a YouTuber, or just someone looking to tap into next-level AI. Plus, I’ll compare GPT-o1 to “o1 Pro,” show you how to handle data processing, and explore the speedy new “o3” models. If you’re curious about taking your AI skills to a whole new level, this video is for you!

Lucas is back to teach us about personal pronouns (or subject pronouns) in Spanish.
And I hope you enjoy my completely original song to help remember them!
Lyrics (written by Señor Jordan):
Tú is you
Yo is I or me
Usted is you more formally.
Él is he and ella she.
For guys or both nosotros we.
Nosotras if we are girly.
Vosotros and vosotras are you all
when you're in Spain to sightsee.
But ustedes is you all most places you'll be.
Ellos is they generally.
Ellas is they girls only.
The personal pronouns in Spanish
to talk about everybody!
Today, we’ll discuss the purposes of an introduction paragraph. Then, we’ll provide you with the three elements of any strong introduction paragraph.
