This video walks you through 4 examples of how do you simplify ratios. When trying to find the simplest ratio, you need to lay out your factors for each number in your ratio. Once you identify the greatest common factor, you can divide your ratio numbers by that greatest common factor. The result is a ratio in its reduced or simplest form.

This video walks you through how to round numbers to the nearest ten. First, identify what digit is in your tens spot. Next, evaluate the number in the ones spot which is to the right. If it is 5 or greater, you round the digit in the tens spot up. If it is 4 or lower, you round down (which is the same thing as it staying the same).

Her er et simpelt men sjovt spil, hvor man ikke skal hverken klippe, klistre eller laminere. Det er blot at finde en håndfuld terninger og gå i gang.

I spillet får eleverne øvet en masse regnestykker og strategier, og det er faktisk sværere end man lige tror.
Værkstedet egner sig fra 2. klassetrin og opefter og reglerne kan nemt ændres, så sværhedsgraden stiger.
Når vi starter med spillet helt nede i min 1. klasse, lader jeg mine elever arbejde med addition.

Det er sjovt, nemt at gå til, og eleverne er vilde med det.

Vi øver addition og bruger snorlingerne til at visualisere opgaverne, så der er fokus på talforståelsen.

Desuden skal du bruge en whiteboard pen til din egen udgave af værkstedet (i værkstedskassen). På den måde kan eleverne hurtigt hente værkstedet med kort og snorlinger og gå i gang i små stationer.

Sådan kender jeg tallet passer sammen med værkstederne “Byg tallet” og “Byg små tal”, som du også kan finde på min side.
I dette værksted skal eleverne kende tallene på mange forskellige måder. De bruger nummerbrikker, kortspil, snorlinger og terninger.
Alt sammen giver dem en masse forskellige repræsentationer af tallene, og der er basis for mange gode snakke med eleverne.
Værkstedet egner sig typisk til 0-1.klasse.

Værkstederne hjælper eleverne med at gå på opdagelse i matematikken.
De undersøger, laver strategier og hjælper hinanden.

Alle værkstederne er simple øvelser, der både kan løses alene og i grupper, hvor eleverne har forskellige roller - det kan du se mere om i videoen, hvor jeg også giver eksempler på gode spørgsmål, du kan stille undervejs.
