Simple Machines for Kids teaches all about the main 6 simple machines in a fun and interactive way. We will learn about the different simple machines, which are; Incline Plane, Lever, Wedge, Screw, Wheel and Axle, and the Pulley. Almost any machine is created with one of these elements.

The inclined plane can be found in many places. It is triangular shaped with a smooth and even surface and helps move objects to higher or lower places.

The lever is a beam with a ridge that freely rotates or moves on a pivot. It helps you move heavy objects with ease.

The wedge is often attached to a handle. Used for cutting, splitting, tightening, to hold back or together, or for scraping.

Screws are cylinders with a solid top at one end, and a pointed
tip at the other end. Used to hold things together as they pull or push the object.

The large disc is the wheel and the small cylinder is the axle. The wheel is one of the greatest inventions in human history, but would not work without the axle.

A wheel with a groove in it, and a rope in the groove is called a pulley. A pulley lifts or lowers objects of different weights with relative ease.

At the turn from the Middle Ages to Modern History, the Army of the Ottoman Empire was the most dominant military force in the World.
Entire Empires and Kingdoms disappeared on their marching route.
From the Middle East to Central Europe, no one could match the bravery and excellence of the Ottoman soldiers.
The best and most reputable among them were Janissaries.

Moles (in chemistry) are really clever and useful. The definition involves a really big number called Avogadro's Number and on its own is really unhelpful when trying to understand what the Mole is actually for! The best way to get your head around this unit (Mol) is to look at the problem that is solves. Along the way you'll find out about Atomic Mass Units, isotopes and some dodgy chemical equations!

Title: Introduction to Fractions: The Top Number - Fast And Easy Math Learning Videos

In this lesson, you will learn about the top number of a fraction. The top number of a fraction shows us how many parts are counted. Watch the red line as the parts are counted.
Nine parts are counted.
In the previous lesson, you learned that the bottom number of a fraction tells how many parts are in each whole unit.
Here, each whole unit has two parts.
Let's look at another example.
Six parts are counted and there are three parts in each whole unit.
Last one. Here, only one part is counted, and there are three parts in each whole unit.
Now try some on your own.
