Algebra I on Khan Academy: Algebra is the language through which we describe patterns. Think of it as a shorthand, of sorts. As opposed to having to do something over and over again, algebra gives you a simple way to express that repetitive process. It's also seen as a "gatekeeper" subject. Once you achieve an understanding of algebra, the higher-level math subjects become accessible to you. Without it, it's impossible to move forward. It's used by people with lots of different jobs, like carpentry, engineering, and fashion design. In these tutorials, we'll cover a lot of ground. Some of the topics include linear equations, linear inequalities, linear functions, systems of equations, factoring expressions, quadratic expressions, exponents, functions, and ratios.

About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

For free. For everyone. Forever. #YouCanLearnAnything

Ejemplo: Vamos AL supermercado
DEL: Presposición "de" + artículo "el". Ejemplo: es DEL hermanos de Juan.

Capítulos:
00:00 Los artículos en español comienzo
00:03 ¿Dónde esta LA presentación?
00:46 Estoy segura que LA he dejado por aquí
01:07 UN momento, LOS niños!
01:26 ¿no habréis visto LA presentación de mamá?
02:14 ¿Qué es UNA presentación, mamá?
02:37 Yo no he sido, ha sido él
02:49 Un momento
02:57 Creo que puedo recuperarla de LA nube
03:45 LA tecnología me ha salvado EL pellejo
04:01 Los artículos y ejemplos de uso

👉 Learn how to solve two step linear equations. A linear equation is an equation whose highest exponent on its variable(s) is 1. To solve for a variable in a two step linear equation, we first isolate the variable by using inverse operations (addition or subtraction) to move like terms to different sides of the equality sign. After evaluating like terms we then also use inverse operations (multiplication or division) to remove any multiple (or fraction) to the variable.

In the presence of water, citric acid and sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda) react to form sodium citrate, water, and carbon dioxide. Students investigate this endothermic reaction. They test a stoichiometric version of the reaction followed by testing various perturbations on the stoichiometric version in which each reactant (citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and water) is strategically doubled or halved to create a matrix of the effect on the reaction. By analyzing the test matrix data, they determine the optimum quantities to use in their own production companies to minimize material cost and maximize carbon dioxide production. They use their test data to "scale-up" the system from a quart-sized ziplock bag to a reaction tank equal to the volume of their classroom. They collect data on reaction temperature and carbon dioxide production. More advanced students are challenged to theoretically predict the results using stoichiometry.

What is a ribosome?

When you look at pictures of cells, you can see tiny dots on the ER and in the cytoplasm.

These dots are ribosomes, but why are they important to the cell?
Ribosomes are small protein factories found in cells.
They are located in the cytoplasm and on the rough ER.
Ribosomes look like small dots on the ER and in the cytoplasm.
Ribosomes are found in plant, animal, and bacterial cells.

How does a ribosome make a protein?
mRNA that has been created at the nucleus and travels to the ribosome.
tRNA travels to the mRNA and reads it in triplets called codons.
The tRNA has an amino acid on one end.
The tRNA reads the mRNA and strings the amino acids together in the correct order.

Why is protein important?
Protein is used for many functions in the cell.
Proteins are used as building blocks and structure suppor. Your skin, and tendons are made up of protein.
Some proteins help with digestion.
Proteins help with muscle contraction, and carry oxygen around the body.
These tiny organelles play a very important in helping organisms stay alive.
