Did you know that 70% of the earth is covered by water? Water is everywhere! You and your kids or students will learn all sorts of interesting things about water in this video.. Water is a major necessity to life. Without water, life on Earth wouldn't even exist! And that includes all life—not just humankind.

This video describes what water is made of: hydrogen and oxygen. It also talks about how water can be found in the form of a solid, liquid, or gas. As a solid, it's called ice. That happens when water freezes. In fact, snowflakes are simply really, really small ice crystals, but they are still water! When water gets hot, it turns into a gas. This is called water vapor or steam.

Water can be found almost anywhere. Most of it is in liquid form and is found in the oceans all over the world. But don't forget about polar ice caps and glaciers, lakes and rivers, and ground water from rain that has seeped into the earth. There are two types of water: salt water and fresh water. Most of the water on Earth is salt water. Humans can only drink fresh water, however, because drinking salt water would make us sick. This video explains that if you compared all the water on the earth to a gallon of water, only a teaspoon of it would equal the amount of fresh water on the earth!

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about water! If you want to learn more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about water full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Did you know that Antarctica, the coldest place on Earth, is a desert? Not only that, it's the largest desert in the world! In this video for kids, you will learn this and other fun facts about Antarctica, the only continent on which people don't live (except for scientists).

Antarctica is an amazing and unique place. Located at the bottom of the earth, it is almost completely covered in ice. Only 2% of it isn't. It is considered a desert because it receives such a small amount of rain every year. So why is there so much snow? It's because the snow that does fall never melts; it's just too cold. Instead, the snow just builds and builds and builds. As a result, it has become one giant piece of ice.

It's far too cold for humans to live comfortably, but it's just right for some animals. The creatures who call this place home include penguins, leopard and weddell seals, killer whales (orca), fish, and krill. The plant life that thrive there include moss, non-marine algae, and many fungi and bacteria.

Perhaps one of the most interesting facts about Antarctica is that the season of winter yields no sunlight! There are only two seasons here: winter and summer. That means that for six months, the sun doesn't shine! It goes down in March and doesn't come up again until the beginning of October! It is dark 24 hours a day for six whole months.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about this cold continent! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about continents, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Do you know what mountains, hills, plateaus, and plains have in common? This video teaches kids all about landforms, particularly these four. Your kids will learn all about the different types and how they form. They will discover many interesting facts. For instance, they will learn about the Himalayas and how they make up the tallest mountain range in the world. Mount Everest is the tallest peak of the Himalayas. It's as tall as 48,000 people standing on each others' shoulders!

Hills are similar to mountains. They aren't as tall, but they form in similar ways. In fact, some mountains, including the Himalayas, started out as hills! Did you know there are two types of plateaus? All plateaus are flat and elevated, and they have steep hills and big cliffs. However, not all plateaus are the same. Dissected plateaus are created from tectonic shifts from the ground up. The Colorado Plateau is one of these. Volcanic plateaus, however, are formed from many small volcanic eruptions that build up over time. Most of the central part of the North Island of New Zealand. You will also learn about plains and how they are unique compared to the other three landforms.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about these four different landforms! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about landforms, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Hola. In this video lesson we'll cover some words for clothing. Some of these words will vary depending on region, country, and personal preference.

Also, chanclas (as far as I know) is more of a Mexican word. I'm interested to see what others have to say.

In Mexican Spanish, other words might be used:
la camiseta = la playera
la chaqueta = la chamarra
los pantalones cortos = el short / los shores

In Perú
tenis = zapatillas
pantalones cortos = shorts o bermudas
camiseta = polo
*camiseta would be like a sports jersey
jeans = vaqueros

Rate this video if it was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.

Teachers are the most important factor in helping children succeed academically, but it’s principals who hire, support, and develop teachers. Principals see quality teaching through an organizational lens; they can support teachers by pairing them with a mentor teacher, creating opportunities for them to observe classrooms in other schools, provide direct and helpful feedback, as well as organize teacher teams to empower educators to study data. Having good principals is also considered the most cost-effective lever to improve student learning at scale.

Students learn about the mathematical characteristics and reflective property of ellipses by building their own elliptical-shaped pool tables. After a slide presentation introduction to ellipses, student “engineering teams” follow the steps of the engineering design process to develop prototypes, which they research, plan, sketch, build, test, refine, and then demonstrate, compare and share with the class. Using these tables as models to explore the geometric shape of ellipses, they experience how particles rebound off the curved ellipse sides and what happens if particles travel through the foci. They learn that if a particle travels through one focal point, then it will travel through the second focal point regardless of what direction the particle travels.

CLIMATE CHANGE | Learn about Climate Change and our planet | Happy Learning ♻️ 🌏 🌲

Educational video for children where they will learn about what climate change is and what we can do to stop it and better care for our planet. Over the past centuries, the climate of the entire Earth has changed due to human actions, and it is becoming increasingly common to experience water scarcity, desertification, the disappearance of lakes, or even rising sea levels, all as a result of global warming, that is, the increase in the planet's temperature. In this video, we propose six measures to better care for our planet, including the use of renewable energies, public transportation, reducing the use of plastics, caring for living beings, recycling, and energy conservation.
