7 Financial Skills I Wished I Would Have Learned in High School
Imagine if what you know now, you knew way back in high school.
š¤ How much better off would you be?
When I was in high school, I didnāt learn anything about money, budgeting, or investing.
Hereās a look at some of the essentials I wish I would have learned in high school and I think should be taught today:
#1: How Credit Cards and Interest Rates Work
#2: How to Balance a Checkbook
#3: Budgeting Basics
#4: The Power of Compound Interest #mindblown
#5: How to Build Credit (or not ruin it)
#6: Investing and Stock Market Basics
#7: How to Start a Biz-nass
As a financial planner, I meet with so many full-fledged adults who donāt know the first thing about the stock market or investing in general.
I BELIEVE THE EARLIER WE TEACH STUDENTS ABOUT FINANCIAL BASICS, THE BETTER OFF THEYāLL BE. š¤
The Bottom Line
Personal finance is such an important part of life that I canāt believe we donāt teach students more about money in school.
When you really think about it, itās no wonder household debt levels are at all-time highs.
