Can Edtech Reinform Instruction by Niamh Kelly

Claims that edtech can save learning or replace teachers are unlikely to come true. Especially in ELT where the uptake of tech to aid learning has been minimal. Products are often thrown at education to just 'help' students learn more, but what if technology could be used to learn from the students? The insights that technology can give us into the learning behaviour of an individual has the potential to expand our understanding of language learning. Harnessing the power of data analytics, AI and machine learning could create a feedback system for educators that has the potential to reinform teaching instruction and maximise learning.
