After watching this video, you would be able to carryout evaluation(arithmetic operations) on fractions having more than one arithmetic operators using BODMAS.
Order of Operations
Both BODMAS and PEMDAS are acronyms that help you remember the order of operations in mathematics.

BODMAS (used in some countries)
1. B*rackets
2. O*rder (or "Of")
3. D*ivision
4. M*ultiplication
5. A*ddition
6. S*ubtraction

PEMDAS (used in some countries)
1. P*arentheses
2. E*xponents
3. M*ultiplication
4. D*ivision
5. A*ddition
6. S*ubtraction

Both acronyms help you follow the correct order when simplifying mathematical expressions.
Evaluating Fractions with BODMAS/PEMDAS
When evaluating expressions with fractions, follow the order of operations:

Steps
1. *Simplify fractions*: Reduce fractions to their simplest form if possible.
2. *Follow BODMAS/PEMDAS*: Evaluate expressions inside brackets/parentheses first, then exponents/orders, followed by division and multiplication, and finally addition and subtraction.

Example
Evaluate: 1/2 + 1/4 × 3/2

Solution
1. Multiply 1/4 and 3/2. That is; 1/4 × 3/2=3/8
2. Add 1/2 and 3/8. That is; 1/2 = 4/8, so 4/8 + 3/8 = 7/8

Result
1/2 + 1/4 × 3/2 = 7/8
