Here’s a quick video where we learn to how to use the phrase: Sino and Sino Que.

Sino and Sino Que mean “but”, “but rather” or “but instead” in Spanish, and we use them to link ideas in a sentence that are different from one another. Unlike “pero” (but), “sino” is used when the first part of the sentence is negative and the next part contradicts the first part. We use “sino que” when there is a conjugated verb used after it.
