If you’re unfamiliar with Carter’s golf apparel line or his 2022 feature as SportsKid of the Year, you might not be surprised to learn that he’s also a motivational speaker and advocate. But what if we told you he’s also a middle school student on the autism spectrum who overcame bullying at his former school and worked as hard at managing his emotions as he did on his golf swing?

Carter is an inspiration to young and old alike. He’s found success with the help of his supportive family, his golf coach, and his K12-powered school, which allows him to direct his focus and work at his own pace. He also enjoys the flexibility of fitting school around his tee times and tournaments and getting teacher help when he needs it.

As we celebrate 25 years of K12, we’re focusing on the Voices of students like Carter to demonstrate the power of personalized learning options and inspire more and more students to explore their educational opportunities. Learn more at K12.com/25years.
