Multiplying Matrices
Multiplying Matrices Teacherflix 12 Views • 2 years ago

This precalculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into multiplying matrices. It explains how to tell if you can multiply two matrices together and how to determine the order of the new matrix. The order of the new matrix is based on the rows of the first matrix and the number of columns in the second matrix. To multiply two matrices together, multiply the rows of the first matrix by the columns of the second matrix and find the sum of the products. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems on matrix multiplication.

Student's T Distribution - Confidence Intervals & Margin of Error
Student's T Distribution - Confidence Intervals & Margin of Error Teacherflix 10 Views • 2 years ago

This statistics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the student's t-distribution. It explains how to construct confidence intervals around a population mean using the student's t-distribution as well as calculating the margin of error or error bound of the mean. It's a good indication to use the t-distribution as opposed to the normal distribution when the sample size is less than 30 and when you're given the sample standard deviation instead of the population standard deviation.

How To Find The Z Score, Confidence Interval, and Margin of Error for a Population Mean Teacherflix 8 Views • 2 years ago

This statistics video tutorial explains how to find the z-score that will be used to find the confidence interval and margin of error for a population mean. This video contains 2 example problems in which you're asked to find a 90% and 95% confidence interval given the population standard deviation, sample mean, and sample size. By the way, the margin of error is also known as the error bound. This video also explains the difference between the confidence interval and the confidence level. Finding Absolute Maximum and Minimum Values - Absolute Extrema
Finding Absolute Maximum and Minimum Values - Absolute Extrema Teacherflix 9 Views • 2 years ago

This calculus video tutorial explains how to find the absolute maximum and minimum values of a function on a closed interval. Tto find the absolute extrema, you need to find the relative extrema by finding the first derivative of the function and the critical numbers. Plot the critical numbers on a number line to create sign chart. Using the sign chart and the first derivative test, determine what type of relative extrema is present - if it's a relative maximum or a relative minimum. Next, place the critical numbers and the endpoints of the closed interval into an x y data table and compare the y values. The absolute maximum contains highest y value and the absolute minimum has the lowest y value.

Proving Parallelograms With Two Column Proofs - Geometry
Proving Parallelograms With Two Column Proofs - Geometry Teacherflix 2 Views • 2 years ago

This geometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into two column proofs with parallelograms. It explains the different ways of proving parallelograms. Here are five ways: 1. opposite sides must be parallel. 2. Opposite sides must be congruent. 3. opposite angles must be congruent. 4. 1 opposite side may be both parallel and congruent. 5. Diagonals must be perpendicular bisectors of each other. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems. Here is a list of theorems used in these two column proofs: reflexive property, vertical angle theorem, definition of a parallelogram, definition of a midpoint, definition of a segment bisector, addition property of equality, substitution property of equality, definition of congruent segments, segment addition, SAS postulate, ASA postulate, and CPCTC.

Gaussian Elimination & Row Echelon Form
Gaussian Elimination & Row Echelon Form Teacherflix 8 Views • 2 years ago

This precalculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the gaussian elimination - a process that involves elementary row operations with 3x3 matrices which allows you to solve a system of linear equations with 3 variables. You need to convert the system of equations into an augmented matrix and use matrix row operations to write it in row echelon form. Next, you can convert back into a system of linear equations and solve using back substitution.

Homogeneous Differential Equations
Homogeneous Differential Equations Teacherflix 8 Views • 2 years ago

This calculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into solving first order homogeneous differential equations by putting it in the form M(x,y)dx + N(x,y)dy = 0. You can solve it by substitution using the equation y = vx and dy = xdv + vdx. Following the change of variables, you can integrate the differential equation by separation of variables.
