This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into momentum. It explains how to calculate the average force exerted on object using Newton's 2nd Law of motion. In addition, it explains why the conservation of linear momentum occurs for every collision using newton's laws of motion and action reaction forces. Momentum is the product of mass and velocity. It's a vector quantity that contains both magnitude and direction. Force is defined as the rate of change of momentum per unit time. This video also contains an example problem that asks you to calculate the force exerted by a water hose given the speed of the fluid and the mass flow rate. This video provides all of the equations and formulas needed to solve all of the practice problems presented in this video.

This calculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into normal distribution and probability. It explains how to solve normal distribution problems using a simple chart and using calculus by evaluating the definite integral of the probability density function for a bell shaped curve or normal distribution curve. This video contains 1 practice problem in the form of a word problem with many parts giving you plenty of examples to master this topic. In this video, I explain how to evaluate the definite integral using wolfram's alpha online calculator for definite integrals. You need to determine the population mean mu and standard deviation sigma as well as the lower and upper limits of integration in order to determine the probability of an event occurring within a certain range of X values where X is a continuous random variable. You need to be familiar with the 68-95-99.7 rule. Approximately 68% of the population lies within 1 standard deviation of the population mean or average. 95% of the population lies within 2 standard deviations of the mean and 99.7% lies within 3 standard deviations of the mean.

This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into elasticity and hooke's law. The basic idea behind hooke's law is that the change in length of a stretching or compressing an object is proportional to the force applied up to the proportional limit. The elastic limit is the point up to which an object can return to its natural state if the external force is removed. Beyond the elastic region lies the plastic region where an object will not return to its natural length if the external force is removed but it experiences permanent deformation. If the force passes the breaking point, the object will snap in two. The ultimate strength is maximum force that an object can withstand without breaking in two. Stress is the ratio of force and area. Stress is the external pressure applied to an object where as strain is the material's response to that stress. Strain is the ratio between the change in length of the object and its original length. The elastic modulus or young's modulus is the ratio between stress and strain. This video provides the equations and formulas needed to perform calculations associated with young's modulus /elastic modulus, stress, and strain.

This precalculus video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the rational zero theorem. It explains how to find all the zeros of a polynomial function by using the rational zero theorem and by factoring polynomials. The rational zero theorem helps you to identify the first zero by listing all possible rational zeros and then evaluating the function to see if it's equal to zero at that particular value of x. This video also explains how to find all zeros of a polynomial function using synthetic division. You need to know how to factor trinomials and how to solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.
