On this triangle congruence lesson, you will learn the difference between the Angle-Angle-Side AAS theorem and the Angle-Side-Angle ASA theorem (also known as the asa postulate) when proving triangle congruence and what are same side interior angles?

This lesson answers the questions: How do I prove that two triangles are congruent? What is ASA? What is AAS? What is the difference between ASA and AAS?

Our lessons are perfect for flipped classroom math teachers and students. This lesson is aligned with the common core learning standards for math and the SAT math curriculum as well.

Multiply by drawing lines!
This might be vedic math from India.
Maybe from Japan.
Who knows - let me know in the comments!
This is a great visual way of seeing multiplication - and because it does not use any multiplication tables, it makes it accessible to all learners.

Exponent notation (also called index notation) is a shorthand way of writing repeated multiplication. The base is the number that is being multiplied and the exponent (index) is the number of time it is multiplied.

This maths calculation tricks helps you quickly work out hard to divide numbers, such as those with long division. With no effort you will be doing long division with 9, leading on to doing long division with any number under 100 in future (linked) videos.
This would have to be the most easy long division trick.

It is easy to work out percentages of a number.
In this video we look at the standard way of finding the percent of a number though changing the percentage amount to a fraction out of 100 (this is what a percent really is!), then using the standard formula to find our answer. Trigonometry is an easy way to work out the unknown sides and angles of a right angled triangle. The trick - know the side names - the opposite, hypotenuse, and adjacent, and know how and when to apply the trigonomic functions - sin, cos and tan. this is the only trick to getting it right every time!
In this lesson, students learn work out unknown angles using use sine, cosine, and tangent. You will need a scientific calculator for the problems in this lesson - and I'll show you how to access one on your computer. In this lesson, you will learn to multiply fractions quickly and easily.
To multiply fractions you multiply across the numerators (the top number of a fraction) and multiply across the denominators (the bottom number).

An example I always use to start this off is multiply 1/2 with a 1/2. The numerators multiply to give 1 (1 x1), the denominators multiply to give 4 (2x2). Hence a 1/2 multiplied by a 1/2 is 1/4.

What about if you multiply 2/3x1/4?
Top number (2x1), bottom number (3x4).
So 2/3x1/4 = 2/12. To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU

#mathtrick The easy way how to multiply numbers under twenty - faster than a calculator!

Vedic Maths is series of mathematical tricks, originating in a book written by an Indian monk Swami Bharati Krishna Tirtha in 1965. It contained a list of mental calculation techniques which were claimed to be retrieved from the Vedas - are a large body of religious texts originating in ancient India.
Please if you are learning this, however, do not treat multiplication as a mere trick. It is important to remember 17 x 13 for example, is the repeated adding of 17, 13 times (17 + 17 + 17 + 17...).
This method is a shortcut, but as the end proof shows, it is using a shuffling of required calculations to make this multiplication more efficient.
For 17 x 13, we have lots of multiplication going on (that is repeated addition!) - 10 x 10 and 3 x 10 and 7 x 10 (lots of 10s - 20 all up) - and 7 x 3.
