In this video about Albert Einstein for Kids we learn about one of the most famous scientists in history. Albert Einstein contributed to many scientific areas but one of his most important contribution to the world of physics and science is the Theory of Relativity. The theory changed how scientists observed the world and led to many modern inventions, including the nuclear bomb and nuclear energy. The theory explains how energy is related to mass.
One equation from the theory that you may have heard of is "E = mc2". The c represents the speed of light and never changes and is the fastest speed possible in the universe. E = energy, M = mass. His theory explains how time and distance may change when the different speed of an object or the observer is considered.
Believe it or not...Albert Einstein, like many people, struggled with education early in his life, he failed many tests and wasn't very organized, but he did not give up. He worked hard, became interested in math and science, and went on to become one of the most brilliant people in history. We all have learned and can continue to learn from the example of Albert Einstein.
In addition to this video we have created a free 11 page lesson plan with more learning content about Albert Einstein including worksheets and fun activities. Download our free comprehensive lesson plan here: https://learnbright.org/lesson....s/science/albert-ein

Have you ever heard of the name Sitting Bull? In this video, you and your kids will learn all about this incredible Lakota chief. Sitting Bull lived during the time of Manifest Destiny and the Indian Removal Act. Manifest Destiny was the idea that it was America's God-given right to expand westward and own all the land. The Indian Removal Act allowed the US government to force Native Americans to reservations.
Sitting Bull was born in 1831 with the name of Jumping Badger. It wasn't until he was 14 that he earned the name Sitting Bull after defeating an enemy. This brave act foreshadowed a life of courage as he continually defended his people throughout his life. Most famously, he and his people defeated the US soldiers under George Custer's command in the Valley of the Little Bighorn.
Sadly, Sitting Bull and his people were forced onto reservations despite the Treaty of Fort Laramie that promised the Black Hills of South Dakota to the Lakota nation. He was given permission to travel and met Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill Cody. Cody managed a wild west traveling show to which Sitting Bull became a part. However, Sitting Bull experienced a lot of persecution and eventually left the show. He lived out the remainder of his days on the reservation until he was killed in 1890.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about this incredible Native American chief! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Do you know the difference between herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores? Do you know which one you are? In this video for kids, you will learn all about the three diets that animals (and even a few plants!) follow. You will also learn what exactly these three words mean.
One of the main characteristics that distinguishes the type of diet an animal will follow is the teeth. Herbivores only eat plants. These animals tend to have dull or no canine teeth and big, flat side and back teeth. They use their molars to crush and grind the plants they consume. Examples include sheep, cows, giraffes, rats, and grasshoppers. You could consider herbivores vegetarians!
Carnivores, on the other hand, only eat meat. They have long and sharp canine teeth next to their front teeth. They also have sharp cheek teeth called carnassials that help them cut up meat in their mouths. Carnivorous animals include lions, spiders, sharks, wolves, dragonflies, and the Venus fly-trap (which is actually a plant).
Finally, that leaves us with omnivores, which eat both plants and animals. Humans are omnivores because we consume both types of food. Omnivores have a combination of flat teeth and sharp teeth because they eat both plants and animals. Apart from humans, other omnivores include lizards, turtles, apes, catfish, and bears.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about the diets of different animals! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

This video is all about helping kids learn about recycling. Recycling is taking used materials and waste and then turning it into new, useful products. Recycling waste into new products reduces the amount of materials that would have been needed if the product had to be made all over again and is very beneficial for the planet!
In addition, we teach kids how to reduce, reuse, and recycle and give them real life applications so each child can start today. After completing this video and finishing the FREE Recycling lesson plan (link below) your student(s) will be able to define recycling, identify common items that are recycled, and list the three steps to successful recycling. The Checks and Balances that are in place in the United States are important for kids to understand and in this video we explain how the three branches of government can work together but are also in place to check on each other and make sure that not one branch has too much power.
Separation of power has been important since the United States were formed and In short the constitution states that there are to be three branches of government, and the balance of power between the branches will be equal. The 3 branches include the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches. The Legislative branch is made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate make up the Legislative branch. The Executive branch includes the President, Vice-President, and the Cabinet, which is made up of people who give advice to the President such as Secretary of State, Defense, Homeland Security and many others. Finally, the Judicial branch consists of nine judges called justices, and they oversee the United States court system (The Supreme Court).
Each of these branches can keep the other branches in check and to pass any major law or bill these branches must learn to work together. In this video your kids / students will learn how the three branches work independently and together.

What is camouflage? Why do animals need to use it? Well, in Animal Camouflage, your kids and students will learn the answers to these questions! First off, there are many different kinds of camouflage, and we will discuss four of the main kinds that apply to animals in this video. Did you know that there is actually more than one reason that animals use camouflage?
A lot of animals use camouflage to hide from predators. The colors of their skin or fur helps them blend into the environment around them. Some animals, though, use camouflage to hunt. For the same reason that camouflage helps some animals hide to avoid predators, other animals blend into their surroundings to catch their prey unaware! In addition to hiding and hunting, a few animals use their coloring to communicate. Take the chameleon, for example. Most people think chameleons use color changing to fool predators. But that's not actually true! Chameleons change colors to communicate to other chameleons! They change color to communicate danger, to attract a mate, or simply to signal a change of environment.
These animals are so cool! You and your kids will discover just how many different types of animals take advantage of this amazing characteristic. And maybe you just might stumble upon one of these incredible creatures!
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about all these amazing and colorful animals! If you want to learn more, head over to our website and download our free lesson plan about animal camouflage, which is full of activities, worksheets, and more!
