For a report on ABC's Catalyst program (http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/), I visited the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland to find out what is being done now that the Higgs Boson has been discovered.
Although its mass has been measured around 125-126 GeV most of the other properties of the particle remain unknown. Its spin appears to be 0 or 2 but more results are required to nail this down. If it is the standard model Higgs, the spin should be 0, resulting in a fairly symmetric distribution of decay products in the detectors.
We may know this year if it's not the standard model Higgs - this would be the case if it doesn't decay into specific particles with the expected frequency. However if it is the standard model Higgs, it may take many more years to be certain. The large hadron collider will be shut down in 2013 for upgrades so that higher energies up to 14 TeV can be tested. Right now the LHC is operating at 8 TeV. The next announcement is expected in December.
Youth unemployment in the U.S. is rising. For 16-to-24-year-olds, the unemployment rate jumped from 6.6% in April 2023, the lowest since the pandemic, to 10.4% in September, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Recent college graduates are particularly struggling to find jobs, prompting economists at The Burning Glass Institute to describe the situation as “no country for young grads.” Watch the video to find out why these young minds are not landing jobs, whether AI plays a role, and what this means for the economy.

This organic chemistry video tutorial discusses shielding and deshielding as it relates to H-NMR spectroscopy. A hydrogen nucleus is said to be shielded from an external magnetic field if it is an electron rich environment. It will thus appear upfield in the NMR spectrum. Protons adjacent to electron withdrawing group are said to be deshielded and appear downfield in a NMR spectrum.

Q & A reptiles
Hello Happy friends, are you ready to learn?
I’m Sarah, and today, we’re going to play a Q.A game about reptiles.
Let’s start
Do you know what the word reptile means? Let’s look at three options
That they move with their tummy very close to the ground
That their body is covered in scales
That they have a very long tongue
Exactly! The word reptile meals that these animals move with their stomach touching the ground.
Reptiles always crawl when they’re moving, that means, that their tummy is touching, or very close to the ground, like this snake! Or this lizard… Or this crocodile! They also have their bodies covered in strong and resistant scales to protect themselves, and cold blood!
Well, now we know what the word Reptile means, but do you know how they reproduce?
They are oviparous, they are born from the eggs laid by their mothers… or…
They are viviparous, they are born from their mother’s womb.
Exactly! They are oviparous!
All reptiles are born from the eggs that their mothers have laid. When they develop and come out, they look exactly the same as their parents, but tiny. Here you can see miniature crocodiles, most of them are carnivores and some of them have venom in their teeth, like this snake.
The truth is that when reptiles are small, they are super cute, but when they are older… there are some that are very scary…
Don’t you think so?
Well, let’s go for the last question! Which one of these animals is a reptile?
A frog
A tortoise
I knew it! The tortoise!
Tortoises are reptiles, although lots of people get them confused with amphibians. As you can see in the images, tortoises have their body full of scales, they reproduce through eggs and although lots of them live in the water, they breathe through lungs.
-
It’s clear that tortoises are reptiles, Crystal clear?
I hope you’ve answered all questions correctly, but if you haven’t, it’s okay, the most important thing is that you’ve learnt!
Goodbye Happy Friends, See you next time!
I hope you’re always ready to learn!
Goodbyee!

Revelation 13:15 shows us the ultimate artificial intelligence.
An "image" is made to communicate, hunt down, and destroy anyone not obeying the Antichrist.
Demons are intelligent spirits.
Satan is the most powerful, intelligent spirit being God ever created.
What happens when an image of the Beast—think machine, think robot- is imbued with Satan’s intelligence and power, and unleashed on humanity?
Think of a Terminator robot filled with demonic power.

Learn how Meiosis is different than Mitosis.
To begin with What is the goal of mitosis and meiosis?
They both create new cells. Both mitosis meiosis start with diploid cells.
Mitosis creates body cells that are diploid. diploid means they have two sets of chromosomes. In humans each body cell has 23 pairs of chromosomes or 46 total.
Meiosis also creates new cells but these cells are gametes which for males is sperm cells and for females it is egg cells. These cells are haploid which means they have one set of chromosomes.
