The concepts of imaginary numbers and how they work in vector spaces can be difficult to understand. In this short, Grant shows how to use GeoGebra to visualize complex numbers and the effects they have when you multiply by a vector by complex number. This work was motivated by the question of what effect does a complex eigenvalue have on a vector.

Making an interactive and moving demonstration of circle theorems helps reinforce what the situation is. You can do it very quickly and easily in GeoGebra. This one is for the fact that the angle off chord at the centre is always twice the angle off that chord to the edge.

Key Questions:
What part(s) of the surface equations cause the slide to spiral upward? How do we know? Explain.
If the 2nd term of the right side of each equation was eliminated, what would the surface look like?

What is GeoGebra? How can it help teachers empower their students to learn math in remote settings?
Making an interactive and moving demonstration of circle theorems helps reinforce what the situation is. You can do it very quickly and easily in GeoGebra. This one is for the fact that a perpendicular bisector of a chord in a circle will always pass through the centre of the circle (and conversely, a line through the centre of a circle perpendicular to a chord will bisect it).

Tim Brzezinski and Alice Keeler are having a daily chat about what to do when you are told, oh hey we are starting the year remotely. GeoGebra is a great way to engage students for remote math and will help you start the school year confidently.

Enlargement from a centre by a certain scale factor, built from scratch in less than one minute.
I'm using Geogebra Classic 5 on a PC, but this will work similarly on the mobile app, or in a browser.
In the US this is often called dilation rather than enlargement, and the command in US versions is actually 'dilate': https://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Dilate_Command

Check out the NEW Math Game we made at https://www.MageMath.com/
It is a full video game called Mage Math that helps kids build confidence in math while having tons of fun.
In this video we talk about more and fewer. The video gives the students a visual way to see when there are more or fewer objects. This lesson goes great with objects to use right after the video. As students get their hands on objects and learn the difference between more and fewer it will relate to them easier.
Kindergarten students will love the video so please share it.

Our math and learning videos are designed to help with the education of children in this important growing phase. The videos teach math and other subjects that help children in their education. We make videos for toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and even a few for 4th grade. It is our goal to help kids achieve their potential by giving them a head start in math and other areas of education.

Today, Craig Benzine is going to dive into the factors that influence judicial decisions. As you may have noticed, the Supreme Court recently handed down some pretty big decisions on same-sex marriage (in Obergefell v Hodges) and the Affordable Care Act (in King v. Burwell). Now, it's important to remember that these decisions are not made in a vacuum, but influenced by the other branches of government, political affiliations, and past court decisions. Weโre also talk about a judgeโs judicial philosophy - that is their relative restraint or activism in making decisions on laws. Judicial restraint is often equated with conservatism, but as weโll show you, this is not always the case.
