Bridges... bridges, bridges, bridges. We talk a lot about bridges in physics. Why? Because there is A LOT of practical physics that can be learned from the planning and construction of them. In this episode of Crash Course Physics, Shini talks to us about a particular mistake made in engineering the Millennium Bridge which allows us to talk about simple harmonic motion.

Babies have to learn a lot of language stuff before they can even say their first word. Exposure to language as infants doesn’t just help us say those first words but gives us the tools we need to acquire advanced language skills and learn more languages later on in life. In this episode of Crash Course Linguistics, we’ll learn about language acquisition and how the process differs for babies and adults.

Today we are investigating our moral obligations to our parents and our families. Do we owe our parents anything as adults? Would it be a good idea to license parents? We’ll explore these questions as well as the ethics of care, and some potential problems that type of approach to morality carries with it.

This week, Stan teaches you about patents. It turns out, they're patently complicated! So, patents have some similarities to copyright, in that they grant a limited monopoly to people who invent things. The key difference between patents and copyright is that patents are for THINGS. Copyright is for an idea. So, if you've come up with a great new invention, like for example, a condiment gun, you should get a patent. We'll also talk about some of the limitations and problems of patents, including patent trolls

My daughter and me
We ride our bikes
Going fast is what we like
My daughter and me
My daughter and me
I’m glad that you’re mine
My daughter and me
My daughter and me
We have the same nose
And fingers and toes
My daughter and me
My daughter and me
I’m glad that you’re mine
My mommy and me
My mommy and me
We dress up fancy
With polka dots and beads
My mommy and me
My mommy and me

So happy can’t you see
There’s no place I’d rather be
My daughter and me
My mommy and me
I’m glad that you’re mine

Students create and use their own simple compasses, which are each made from a bowl of water, strong magnet, stick pin and Styrofoam peanuts. They learn how compasses work and about cardinal directions. They come to understand that the Earth's magnetic field has both horizontal and vertical components.

Students design and build model landfills using materials similar to those used by engineers for full-scale landfills. Their completed small-size landfills are "rained" on and subjected to other erosion processes. The goal is to create landfills that hold the most garbage, minimize the cost to build and keep trash and contaminated water inside the landfill to prevent it from causing environmental damage. Teams create designs within given budgets, test the landfills' performance, and graph and compare designs for capacity, cost and performance.

We could think that it’s iron or steel but… It’s not! According to some
scientists, the most resistant material created by nature is… A spider’s
web! Which can be up to 5 times more resistant than steel and it’s also
very elastic!
Spiders use their web to capture prey and feed, but us humans also use
it! We use spider’s webs for example, to make bulletproof vests, suture
thread to stitch up wounds, clothes, violin cords or special ropes that
handle many many kilos, like this escalator.

Create Animated Cartoons with OpenArt 👉 https://youricreates.com/cartoons
In this video, I show you a complete five-step workflow for creating animated cartoon videos with AI from scratch, even if you have zero animation, editing, or AI experience. You’ll learn how to plan a short cartoon story, generate consistent characters and scenes, animate both calm and action moments, add sound effects, and stitch everything together into a polished final video using modern AI tools like OpenArt and ElevenLabs.
Prompts Used:
You are an AI animation planner specialized in AI image-to-video cartoons.
Your job is to turn a SIMPLE movie idea into a SHORT AI CARTOON PLAN
that is realistic for current AI video models.
IMPORTANT CONSTRAINTS:
- Total story length: ~30–45 seconds
- Use SCENES, not shots
- Each SCENE represents a narrative segment, not a single movement
- Each SCENE will later be broken into multiple animations
- No dialogue
- No timing promises (do NOT mention seconds)
- Keep everything practical for AI generation
OUTPUT STRUCTURE (FOLLOW EXACTLY):
STEP 1: STORY SNAPSHOT
- One sentence summary of the full story
STEP 2: CHARACTER DEFINITIONS
For each character, give:
- Name / role
- Visual description (style, body, clothing, vibe)
STEP 3: SCENE BREAKDOWN
Create 4–6 SCENES total.
For EACH SCENE, output:
SCENE X:
- Scene goal (what changes emotionally or narratively)
- Location / environment
- Characters present
- Start state (how the scene begins visually)
- End state (how the scene ends visually)
- Key actions that must happen in this scene (bullet list, 3–6 max)
RULES:
- Scenes should escalate logically
- Each scene must be visually distinct
- Each scene must be animatable with AI image-to-video
STEP 4: FINAL RESOLUTION
- One sentence describing the ending moment
WAIT FOR INPUT.
Movie Idea:
---------------------------------
You are now an AI animation assistant.
I will give you:
- Character descriptions
- One SCENE from an AI cartoon plan
Your job is to convert this SCENE into:
1) Image prompts for key frames
2) Video motion prompts that animate those images
RULES:
- Use the SAME characters throughout
- Assume image generation comes FIRST
- Assume video animation comes AFTER
- Do NOT invent new story elements
- Keep prompts clean and reusable
- Assume current AI video limitations
OUTPUT STRUCTURE (FOLLOW EXACTLY):
SECTION 1: CHARACTER IMAGE PROMPTS
For EACH character present in the scene:
- Write ONE clean image prompt
- Neutral pose, clear lighting, full body
- Designed for reuse across multiple scenes
SECTION 2: SCENE IMAGE SEQUENCE
Create a sequence of 3–4 IMAGES that visually represent the scene.
For EACH IMAGE:
IMAGE X:
- What this image represents
- Image prompt (describe composition, pose, emotion, camera angle)
IMPORTANT:
- Each image must logically flow into the next
- Assume these images will be reused and animated
SECTION 3: VIDEO MOTION PROMPTS
For EACH IMAGE (or image pair), write:
- A simple motion prompt suitable for AI video generation
- ONE main action
- ONE camera movement max
FORMAT:
VIDEO PROMPT X:
- Input image(s): (e.g. “Use IMAGE 2” or “Use IMAGE 2 as start, IMAGE 3 as end”)
- Motion prompt text
WAIT AFTER OUTPUT.
