Converting a standard form quadratic function to a graph can be accomplished by finding the y-intercept, vertex, and x-intercepts (if they exist) and fitting a parabola to those points. It is easy to find these points when a quadratic function is in Standard Form because they can all be found by plugging a, b, and c into particular formulas.

y-intercept: (0,f(0))
vertex: (-b/2a,f(-b/2a))
x-intercepts: use quadratic formula

Some images made using Geogebra.

Think traits like eye color or tongue-rolling are simple genetics? Think again. From Mendel’s peas to modern DNA science, let’s talk about why most human traits aren’t just “dominant” or “recessive.” Eye color, red hair, earlobes, even cilantro—genetics is way messier (and cooler) than you learned in school.

This physics video tutorial explains how to solve problems associated with the latent heat of fusion of ice and the latent heat of vaporization of ice. It contains problems associated with specific heat capacity, calorimetry, and heat transfer problems. It discusses the heating curve of water, the increase of kinetic energy during a temperature change process and the increase in potential energy during the phase change process. This video contains plenty of examples and heat transfer practice problems. It discusses phase changes such as freezing, melting, vaporization, condensation and the heat exchange that occurs during those times.

In this video we use GeoGebra 3D from geogebra.org to graph a cone with equation x^2 + y^2 + z^2 = 9 in rectangular and rho = 3 in spherical. Video of finding the equation here: https://youtu.be/BYCdO2vHp00
We use the surface command with parameters for theta and phi (I use t and v). After getting the graph to work we then create sliders for the upper bounds of the parameters and play around with it a bit. Playing around with this kind of thing on GeoGebra is the best way I've found to really learn what's going on.
