What do you know about dinosaurs? The Mesozoic era divides into three smaller periods: Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous. To this day, scientists still debate about the cause of dinosaurs' extinction. Was it because lots of volcanoes erupted at the same time? Or was it because a meteor crashed into Earth and caused a ton of damage?
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about these four different dinosaurs! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about dinosaurs, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Finance and capital markets on Khan Academy: If you gladly pay for a hamburger on Tuesday for a hamburger today, is it equivalent to paying for it today? A reasonable argument can be made that most everything in finance really boils down to "present value". So pay attention to this tutorial.

Finance and capital markets on Khan Academy: Interest is the basis of modern capital markets. Depending on whether you are lending or borrowing, it can be viewed as a return on an asset (lending) or the cost of capital (borrowing). This tutorial gives an introduction to this fundamental concept, including what it means to compound. It also gives a rule of thumb that might make it easy to do some rough interest calculations in your head.

Longitudinal waves are waves in which the displacement of the medium is in the same direction as, the direction of propagation or movement of the wave. In other words, the displacement of the medium is parallel to the propagation of the wave
Longitudinal waves are also called compressional or compression waves, because they produce compression and rarefaction when traveling.
I also cover compressions and rarefactions.

Imagine an ocean where water is constantly boiling, it’s boundless, there is no coast in sight. It stretches as far as the horizon, although this fact is evasive to the observer, because as far as the eye can see the horizon is constantly shrouded in dense fog. Thick clouds with not a chink between them hide a huge, but dim sun. Only negligible fluctuations in the level of light indicate transitions from nights to days and nights again. If it has stopped being pitch-dark and it’s deep grey all around you, it means sunrise. And deep down, under scores of kilometres of water, there lies a billion-ton core of scorching ice. This is what the unique and mysterious world of Gliese 1214 b must look like.
