Counting and Matching Song for Kids | Preschool, and Kindergarten | Kids Academy
The first lesson of Mathematics is counting. Every kid gets an introduction to mathematics with counting. This lets the kids be more creative and sharp thinkers as these mathematical activities get to advance with time. Toddlers and kids usually find mathematics as a bit difficult task. Good understanding and learning are very essential for the kids to have a proper grip on mathematics from the start. Frequently worksheets and books are used to make kids learn to count. Counting can be taught in different and easy ways. Kids are fond of playing than learning. That is why they can easily be taught while they play.
Matching games are also another efficient way of making toddlers and kids learn counting and shapes. They can match different shapes and figures to sharpen their mind and gain basic knowledge.
Following are some ideas to make children learn to count:
Teddy Numbers
• Teddy Numbers is a straightforward and exciting counting game for kids to learn in their preschool. Kids can learn to count up to 15 objects and have fun. They only have to do pick and drop an object.
• This game helps the children to not only learn to count but also recognize every number they count or pick and drop.
• The game has different levels for kids ranging from 2 to 5 years old.
Number and picture matching
This simple game is very efficient for learning counting and matching skills.
• Print a few pictures of different objects and every object should have two pictures for matching.
• Similarly, print a few numbers on a page and every number should have two printouts.
• This game will automatically let the children to learn about counting, different shapes of objects and to recognize them so they can be matched.

Algebra I on Khan Academy: Algebra is the language through which we describe patterns. Think of it as a shorthand, of sorts. As opposed to having to do something over and over again, algebra gives you a simple way to express that repetitive process. It's also seen as a "gatekeeper" subject. Once you achieve an understanding of algebra, the higher-level math subjects become accessible to you. Without it, it's impossible to move forward. It's used by people with lots of different jobs, like carpentry, engineering, and fashion design. In these tutorials, we'll cover a lot of ground. Some of the topics include linear equations, linear inequalities, linear functions, systems of equations, factoring expressions, quadratic expressions, exponents, functions, and ratios.
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

Of all the species that humans have domesticated, dogs are our oldest animal friends. But how did a group of wolves become the furry pup at the end of the bed? New research is finally unlocking the paw-in-hand evolution of dogs and humans. In this episode we’re answering one big question: Did we domesticate dogs, or did dogs domesticate us?
Special thanks to our friends from MinuteEarth!

Educational video for children that talks about characteristics of various animals. The lion is a vertebrate animal, that is, it has an internal skeleton. It is a mammal and a carnivore, so it eats other animals that live in the same habitat, the savanna. The penguin is a vertebrate, so it has an internal skeleton as well. It is a flightless bird and feeds on small fish, crustaceans or plankton. The turtle is a vertebrate so it too has an internal skeleton. It is a member of the reptile group. Some turtles are herbivorous, but others are omnivorous, that is, in addition to plants, they also consume animals such as slugs or snails. Turtles live in forests, deserts, lakes and even the sea. Bees are invertebrates, which means they have no internal skeleton. They are arthropod insects and are herbivorous, since their main food is pollen and nectar from flowers, and the honey they make themselves. The elephant is a vertebrate with an internal skeleton. It is a mammal and a herbivore; it eats roots, leaves and the bark of some trees. Elephants live in tropical rainforests and savannas and they are huge. Frogs are vertebrate animals and belong to the amphibian group. There are many types of frogs, but they are all carnivorous; they eat crickets, butterflies, and flies among other things. They live in damp places near bodies of water like rivers, lakes, reservoirs, or even in large puddles. Giraffes are vertebrates, meaning they have an internal skeleton. It is a mammal and a herbivore, mainly eating leaves from the trees it finds in its habitat, the savanna. The shark is a vertebrate and belongs to the fish group. Sharks are carnivorous and their size depends greatly on the species. Jellyfish are invertebrate animals belonging to the coelenterate group. They are carnivorous and feed on plankton, crustaceans, fish eggs and larvae. The spider is an invertebrate and it is an arachnid arthropod. Spiders are carnivores and their size depends greatly on the species. Spiders can be found in all habitats. Butterflies are invertebrates and belong to the insect group. Ninety-nine percent of butterfly species are herbivorous and feed on leaves and nectar. Tigers are mammalian vertebrate animals. They are carnivores, and can be found in the savanna, rainforests and grasslands. Ducks are vertebrate animals belonging to the bird group. They are omnivores because they eat plants, seeds, insects and small fish. They live in damp areas such as rivers, swamps or ponds. Crocodiles are vertebrate animals belonging to the reptile group. They are carnivores and their size depends on the species. They live in rivers, lakes and wetlands. Dogs are vertebrates belonging to the mammal group. Their diet is omnivorous, that is, they eat both meat and vegetables. Their size depends on the breed. They are domestic animals, which means they live together with humans. The zebra is a vertebrate animal, belonging to the mammal group. Their diet is herbivorous, as they eat mainly grass, but also bushes, branches, leaves and bark. They can be found in the savanna and the desert.
