How to organize and prioritize the presentation of basic concepts of Arithmetic. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Smiley Face Series. When do we introduce students to Algebra, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division. Dale Mason has a Masters in Math, and as a Mortensen Math Master Trainer knows how to incorporate the use of manipulatives with regular classroom work. Parents frequently ask whether a student will be able to apply the principles learned through the Mortensen Math curriculum to the work they are doing in school. Dale comes from the perspective of the classroom Teacher, as an In-Service Trainer, Teacher Development experiences. Dale shows us how to develop a classroom syllabus through her examples.
Mortensen Math was ahead of its time when almost no one was using manipulatives, and people were critical of the methods, as is the case with all innovators at first. Time has proven that Jerry Mortensen's genius was prescient and is still THE LEADER in learning to "speak" mathematics.
