"Continents and Oceansโ€ (See below for lyrics)

Traverse across โ€œContinents and Oceansโ€ and learn a little about each in this smooth and catchy tune by ABCmouse.com. Which continent has the most people? How about the least? Which one is the hottest? Can you name all five oceans? Our Earth is a very big place covered by water and land; learn about its seven continents and five oceans, because someday you might travel to each!

Song Lyrics:

Our Earth is a very, very, very big place!
It is covered by water and land.
It has five huge oceans, where we can swim,
And seven continents, where we can stand.

Asia is the continent that has the most people.
Itโ€™s also the largest in size.
It has the 50 highest mountains in the worldโ€”
Their peaks reach high into the skies.
Second largest is Africa.
Itโ€™s the hottest continent of all.
It has the largest sandy desert in the world
And animals both large and small.
If Africaโ€™s hottest, then which is the coldest?
Antarcticaโ€”but itโ€™s so very cold.
Itโ€™s only home to seals, penguins,
and other birds.
Though thereโ€™s snow, itโ€™s the driest, Iโ€™m told!
And which is the wettest? Itโ€™s South America!
Rainforests cover much of its face.
Millions of animal species live there.
Youโ€™ll find them all over the place!
Our Earth is a very, very, very big place!
It is covered by water and land.
It has five huge oceans, where we can swim,
And seven continents, where we can stand.
Letโ€™s look at Australia.
Itโ€™s the smallest of continents.
The fewest people call it home.
Most of its land is the bushland and outback,
Where koalas and kangaroos roam.

Now on to Europe. Though itโ€™s rather small,
It has dozens of famous old cities.
Berlin, Madrid, Paris, London, and Romeโ€”
Each city is uniquely pretty!
Last but not least is North America.
Itโ€™s the continent that I know best.
It is the home of our own United Statesโ€”
A wonder from East Coast to West!
But letโ€™s not forget, there are also five oceans.
Please let me be quite specific.
Their names are the Southern, Atlantic,
and Arctic,
The Indian, and the Pacific!

Our Earth is a very, very, very big place!
It is covered by water and land.
It has five huge oceans, where we can swim,
And seven continents, where we can stand.

I hope you learned something
about all the continents
And the names of our five oceans.
Hopefully, someday you will travel to each,
But only if you get the notion!

Our Earth is a very, very, very big place!
It is covered by water and land.
It has five huge oceans, where we can swim,
And seven continents, where we can stand.

What causes the phases of the moon? The common incorrect answer is the shadow of the Earth. The phases of the moon are actually just a result of our perception of the moon's half-illuminated surface. When the moon does pass through Earth's shadow the result is a lunar eclipse. This can be spectacular as the moon turns a deep shade of red.

Multiply by 3's and learn the 3 multiplication table with an electric guitar beat. Sing along to the 3's times tables in order by singing along with the multiplication fact the first time through. The second time through we delay the answer so students can give the answer and then the answer is reinforced. The third time we supply the 3's times table and leave the answer blank for higher order learning.
Multiply by 3's with this electrical guitar beat to help student's learn their 3 multiplication table.
This song goes through each table 1 through 12 three times to give your children a chance for lots of practice.
This song also has a gradual learning structure.

First time: I sing the multiplication table I give the answer.

Second time: I say the table I delay the answer, so children have a chance to answer before me.

Third time: I completely omit the answer so children can answer on their own.

This song on learning how to Multiply by 3 is a wonderful way for your children to learn and practice the multiplication tables.
Multiply by 3's with this catchy rock n' roll tune to help student's learn their 3 multiplication table
LYRICS:

Multiply by 3

Three little pigs, three blind mice
Three was the number and that was nice.
Now Iโ€™m bigger and I can see
Iโ€™ve got to multiply by three.

3 x 1 is 3
3 x 2 is 6
3 x 3 is 9
3 x 4 is 12
3 x 5 is 15
3 x 6 is 18
3 x 7 is 21
3 x 8 is 24
3 x 9 is 27
3 x 10 is 30
3 x 11 is 33
3 x 12 is 36

Three little pigs, three blind mice
Three was the number and that was nice.
Now Iโ€™m bigger and I can see
Iโ€™ve got to multiply by three.

Now you give the answer before I do
3 x 1 is 3
3 x 2 is 6
3 x 3 is 9
3 x 4 is 12
3 x 5 is 15
3 x 6 is 18
3 x 7 is 21
3 x 8 is 24
3 x 9 is 27
3 x 10 is 30
3 x 11 is 33
3 x 12 is 36

Now let's try it on your own'
You can do it!

3 x 1 is
3 x 2 is
3 x 3 is
3 x 4 is
3 x 5 is
3 x 6 is
3 x 7 is
3 x 8 is
3 x 9 is
3 x 10 is
3 x 11 is
3 x 12 is

Three little pigs, three blind mice
Three was the number and that was nice
Now Iโ€™m bigger and I can see
Iโ€™ve got to multiply by three
Got to multiply by three

A simple phosphorus cycle explanation

Phosphorus is not found in the atmosphere. It is important for the production of ATP, DNA, and membrane.
Phosphorus follows a biogeochemical cycle that ensures the earth always has phosphorus and phosphate.
Substances like phosphorus, carbon, and nitrogen move from living organisms to abiotic factors This cycling from living organism to abiotic factor is a biogeochemical cycle.

How to square any numbers in your head - fast mental math trick here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEuyDHMG0jY

There is barely any calculation needed to mentally find the square a number that ends in five. How fast? The square of 45 is 1225; The square of 85 is 7225; the square of 115 is 12125; the square of 1095 is 1188125....as fast as I can type them I answer them!
The trick is this to faster squaring....
Say we have 65 squared. Get the number that is not 5 ( that is 6) and multiply it by the next number after it (7). Then just write 25 on the end.
So 6 x 7 = 42, our answer is 4225. Really. Simple 'eh?

A world history teacher at Ron Brown College Prep, Travis Bouldin, shares his perspective on what it means to be a culturally responsive educator in this unique public high school for young men of color. A veteran educator who has taught in several other urban districts, Bouldin explains some of the effects that poverty, violence, and trauma has on his students' ability to learn and to interact with peers and adults. Ron Brown--which has an intense focus on developing students' social-emotional skills and creating a culture where students feel safe physically and comfortable expressing themselves in the classroom--also emphasizes a college-preparatory curriculum. For the past year, Education Week's Kavitha Cardoza and NPR's Cory Turner visited Ron Brown weekly -- and some weeks, daily -- to witness the birth of this new school and to see how its staff tackles some of the toughest challenges in education. We spent hundreds of hours there, from the earliest days to the last bell.

Mount Rushmore is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the United States. What do you know about the monument and the individuals whose heads you see? In Mount Rushmore for Kids, you and your students will learn about some of the history behind this huge sculpture. You will also discover why the four presidents on its face were chosen to be the subjects of the monument.

Construction for Mount Rushmore began in 1927. Much earlier in 1884, a lawyer from New York named Charles E. Rushmore traveled to South Dakota's Black Hills National Forest. He decided to name the mountain after himself when he learned that it had never been named before. Fast forward to the 1920s: There was some discussion over a period of years about who to sculpt into the mountainside. In the end, the subjects they agreed upon were George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt.

It took 14 years to build the monument and required the help of nearly 400 men and women who served in various capacities. They had to endure extreme weather condition and had to climb 700 stairs every day to reach the top of the mountain! An interesting fact you may not know is that 90% of the mountain was carved using dynamite. Despite these dangerous conditions, not one worker died in all 14 years.

You may wonder why those four presidents were chosen. George Washington led the colonists in the American Revolutionary War. He was the "Father of the Country" and the first president. He was chosen to represent birth. Thomas Jefferson was chosen to represent growth because of his role in expanding the size of the U.S. by purchasing the Louisiana Territory. Abraham Lincoln represented the preservation of the nation because of his impact on preserving the Union during the Civil War and abolishing slavery. And finally, Theodore Roosevelt provided leadership when America experienced rapid growth. he also linked the east and west parts of the world through the construction of the Panama Canal. He represented development.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about this amazing monument! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Dette lille vรฆrksted er ret enkelt men samtidig super vigtigt.
Hvis eleverne tidligt kan lรฆre "gode venner" og pluspar" at kende, har de ofte meget nemmere ved at lรธse mange af de andre regnestykker.

Husk ogsรฅ at tjekke mit vรฆrksted, der hedder "Pluspar". Det kan du finde lige her: https://anettekmatematik.com/plus-par/

Fรธlg mig gerne, sรฅ bliver jeg glad.
