It's Kids Academy, and welcome back to our channel! In this educational video for kids, we will read aloud children fairy tale "My friend the dragon". This story for kids is about kindness and friendship. More interesting short stories and nursery rhymes you can find on our channel. Stay tuned!
My Friend the Dragon
Once upon a time, a huge dragon lived on an island in the blue sea. When he was swimming in the sea, all the fish hid away from him.
Sometimes the dragon came ashore near a fishing village. He liked to sit on the rocks there.
Every time people saw the dragon, they ran away in fear. For them, he looked very big and scary.
The dragon got used to being alone, but once on the shore he saw a girl. The girl was surprised to see everyone else flee from him.
“Where are they running?” she asked.
“For cover,” said the dragon. “They are afraid of me.”
“Oh, are they,” the girl said. “Are you that evil?”
“No, I’m kind,” he said, “But people prefer to keep away from dragons. That is why I have no friends. I feel so lonely.”
“Well,” said the girl, “If you’re a kind dragon, I can be your friend.”
From then on, they would often walk along the shore and throw colorful pebbles into the water.
One day they saw a fishing boat sinking in the sea. The people on the boat were shouting out for help.
“Our neighbors are in trouble!” cried the girl. “Dear dragon, please, help them!”
The dragon dived into the sea and brought the boat back to the shore on his big back. The rescued fishermen thanked him warmly for his help.
From that day forward, people were no longer afraid of the dragon.

It sounds like such an incredible fact. “Our own cells are outnumbered by our microbes 10 to 1!” I don’t remember where I first heard it. But I read it in science papers and articles by journalists, so I believed it without question. I even made one of my first videos based on this fact. Problem is, this fact is not true. So how did it remain firmly planted in our common knowledge for almost four decades without any scientific scrutiny? And how can you prepare yourself to not be fooled by other scientific urban legends? I look at a few of the most famous incorrect factoids in science, and give a few suggestions for how to make our common knowledge more correct.

When children learn colors, it is so much fun! These fun and educational videos teach colors for kids. These videos are ideal for use in school classrooms and home classrooms. ESL learners learn from and enjoy the videos too. Each video teaches a different color such as green, red, blue, yellow, and orange!

02:15 - Blue
04:10 - Green
06:30 - Yellow

Learning the names of colors and correctly identifying colors is one of the first academic skills that young preschoolers and kindergarteners learn. When children learn to name colors, they effectively describe objects in their environment. But knowing colors is more than that. When children learn colors, they can compare and contrast things in the child’s environment as well as use color to sort and classify objects.
The color videos from Kid’s Academy are perfect for teaching different colors. The videos are the appropriate length for young learners and simply explain what the different colors are and what the colors look like. The clips show our favorite elephant character on a different color adventure in each video. In the videos, the student sees examples of objects of each color. The color and color word are clearly stated and repeated often so that the learner remembers and pronounces the color name correctly.
When teaching colors for children, teachers and parents have the opportunity to extend the learning after viewing the videos. Ask your student or child to name other foods that are orange, red, blue, green or yellow. Identify objects in the home and classroom and name their color. And children cannot resist painting and drawing with these colors. Older students learning to write and spell color words benefit from writing the color words learned from the videos too!
Identifying colors for children is fun and an important milestone in a child’s early learning. With these clips, children learn quickly to identify and name each color. School and home classrooms can use these videos as a visual aid to assist young children with color mastery and provide fun and entertainment while learning.

Is overpopulation real? Is Earth filling up with too many humans? How many people can Earth hold, anyway? As our species approaches 8 billion, human overpopulation is a major concern for many people. How can we reduce poverty and our impact on the environment? Do we need a forced one-child policy or something? Maybe not, because when we look at the science and history, populations seem to control themselves. This week we look at all these questions and more.

You might not know that you use quantum technologies every day pretty much constantly. Here I have summarised five of them, but there are many others. Quantum physics is often seen as a weird part of physics, far removed from our every day lives but this couldn’t be further from the truth. The entire modern world exists because of our understanding of quantum physics!

We're RV AppStudios, and we make free educational apps for kids!
We were inspired to create these apps by the sad state of children's learning content on app stores. We didn't want our kids staring at ads or accidentally making in-app purchases while learning math, shapes, colors, or their ABCs. We set out to build the learning experiences we wanted for our family, and we released every single one of them for free.
The reception has been amazing. Our apps have been downloaded by millions of families around the world. We couldn't be happier about this, as we want nothing more than to help kids learn!
All of our apps are 100% free. There are no third party ads, no in-app purchases, and no price tags. We don't make a profit off of any of these games, we just want to share the joy of learning with the world.
Learn more about our quest by visiting this link: http://www.rvappstudios.com/our-story.html
Share these apps with friends, family, and schools. The more kids who start learning, the better!
The end of the Napoleonic Wars left the great powers of Europe shaken. Judging from the destruction that had been wrought across the continent, it seemed to the powers that be that the Enlightenment had liberated the people, and led to disaster. So, everybody got together in Vienna to have a Congress, and to try to put Europe "right" again. By "right" I mean they wanted to go back to the old days of kings, queens, and nobles running the show. But this new yearning for the past pervaded the continent. Roomanticism arose at the same time, looking back at (imagined) golden age of Medieval Times. Today we'll talk about the Congress of Vienna, The Holy Alliance, and the Romantic movement across the arts.
