Physics on Khan Academy: Physics is the study of the basic principles that govern the physical world around us. We'll start by looking at motion itself. Then, we'll learn about forces, momentum, energy, and other concepts in lots of different physical situations. To get the most out of physics, you'll need a solid understanding of algebra and a basic understanding of trigonometry.
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

Telling time for kids is a fun way to help your children learn how to tell the time on both digital and analog clocks. It is important to know what time of day it is and it is really easy to learn how to read our clocks. Together we will learn how to tell the time to the half hour and even to the minute. We will walk through examples on analog clocks and learn to tell the time on digital clocks as well. We explore the difference between AM and PM and talk about why we say "o'clock". We hope you enjoy.
In addition to this video we recommend you download our free 9 page lesson plan to help your kids learn to tell time with worksheets, activities and more teaching ideas. https://learnbright.org/lessons/math/time/

Introduction to metamorphic rocks
Metamorphic rocks come from existing rocks that are subjected to extreme heat and pressure
Welcome to MooMooMath and Science and metamorphic rocks.
Metamorphic rocks are created when extreme heat and pressure changes the original structure into a new type of rock sedimentary igneous and even metamorphic rocks can all become
metamorphic rocks when exposed to heat and pressure. the original rock is referred to as the
protolith but it's commonly referred to as the parent rock.
Contact metamorphism occurs when existing rock comes into contact with extreme heat like magma inside the earth and becomes something new
Regional metamorphism is caused by extreme pressure. The pressure presses and squeezes the rock and transforms it. Kinda like gravity acts on this balloon. This will occur at convergent plate boundaries. Existing rocks are transferred into new rocks at these boundaries.
two major types of metamorphic rocks are foliated rocks which have a layered or banded appearance and non-foliated which do not have these bands or layers

1st Grade Math | Solving Addition and Subtraction Word Problems with Drawings
Addition and subtractions seem very easy to us grown-ups but there are some children out there who donโt like Maths much and they think of it as very boring.
Now, if you have such students in your class who donโt like Maths much and if you have to teach these little ones addition and subtraction then you need to opt for various fun methods and activities that can make these students like Maths like it supposed to be like.
Now, the best way to make these kids love and learn addition and subtraction is to use different word problems and drawings. Yes, you read it right and donโt worry, if you donโt understand what we are talking about then you can use the Youtube tutorials and learn from there how you can make Maths fun for the kids.
We all know that there is just one concept that we have to teach our children to make them understand solving addition and subtraction. Itโs easy but you just need to come up with different fine ways of teaching.
We are living in the digital world at the moment and well, we must say that the internet has the solution to almost each and every single problem of ours. So, donโt worry and just type on Google, โlearn math for 1st gradersโ and you will have a lot of fun activities pop up on your screen.
Moreover, you should try using different drawings to teach maths because kids are attracted to visuals and they can understand visuals in a better way. So, yes, you should definitely give it a shot.

Trigonometry on Khan Academy: Big, fancy word, right? Don't be fooled. Looking at the prefix, tri-, you could probably assume that trigonometry ("trig" as it's sometimes called) has something to do with triangles. You would be right! Trig is the study of the properties of triangles. Why is it important? It's used in measuring precise distances, particularly in industries like satellite systems and sciences like astronomy. It's not only space, however. Trig is present in architecture and music, too. Now you may wonder...how is knowing the measurement and properties of triangles relevant to music?? THAT is a great question. Maybe you'll learn the answer from us in these tutorials!

When you think about the Statue of Liberty, what comes to mind? What do you know about it or its history? In this video for kids, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the history, construction, and significance of this beautiful monument. For instance, it's official name is Liberty Enlightening the World, not Statue of Liberty. It was designed to honor the end of enslavement in the United States.
This monument was a gift from France. The designer was a French sculptor, Frederic Bartholdi. He helped raise money for the statue's construction and picked the New York harbor for its display. It cost the equivalent of $14,000,000 in modern day! However, while Bartholdi was the designer, the original idea was from and anti-enslavement activist, Edouard de Laboulaye.
One fun fact is that the inside of the statue was built by none other than the engineer of the Eiffel Tower itself! Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, builder of the Eiffel tower, was also responsible for constructing the interior of Lady Liberty (a nickname for the statue). The statue was built in pieces over a period of nine years. Then they had to take it apart, ship it to the United States, and reconstruct it, which took six months.
Here are some cool statistics. The statue weighs 225 tons and, with its pedestal, stands 305 feet tall! Lady Liberty's head is about 17 feet tall, and her nose alone is roughly 4.5 feet long. The right arm is 42 feet long, and the index finger is 8 feet long! Additionally, the outside layer is made of copper, so the statue was actually originally brown. But because the copper oxidized when exposed to water in the air, it turned green.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about this beautiful monument! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

What are the factors that allow the Earth to sustain life?
Life has been around for a long time. How does the earth help life on earth keep going and going and going.
I would like to look at three processes and one force that work together to help sustain life.
First, life is sustained by the flow of energy from the sun through the biosphere.
The biosphere is any location on earth that has life.
Plants contain chloroplasts which have the ability to convert sunlight into sugar.
Plants combine carbon dioxide, water and sunlight into glucose.
Animals eat plants and the energy from the sun is transferred to the animal.
Other animals eat these animals and the energy from the sun is spread throughout the ecosystem
The next process is the cycling of nutrients within the biosphere.
The earth has several biochemical cycles that recycle important chemicals
These cycles move chemical substance from the biotic and abiotic compartments of Earth. There are biogeochemical cycles for carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, and water;
These cycles keep recycling these important chemicals so that we donโt run out of these chemicals.
Life has the ability to duplicate itself. It can be the offspring of two adults or bacteria that uses binary fission to rapidly make copies of itself.
Finally, gravity is the force of attraction between objects.
Gravity hold life on earth and also holds our atmosphere close to the earth.
The atmosphere contains important gases like oxygen which are essential to life.
Without gravity, the earth would not have an atmosphere and life as we know it would go away.
So there you go,
How life keeps going and going and going
