25 Facts about the lobes of the brain
http://www.moomoomathblog.com/....2017/12/25-facts-abo
Cerebrum Top part of the brain and the cerebrum is separated into four lobes.
Temporal,parietal,occipital, and the frontal
Cerebellum also called the little brain
Controls coordination, balance, and helps us talk and walk
Temporal Lobe Helps us process sounds, in other words, helps us hear. Also helps some with balance.
Parietal Lobe It is called the “association lobe” It communicates with other lobes. The parietal lobe is where information such as taste, temperature, and touch are integrated, or processed.
Occipital lobe This lobe is responsible for processing your vision
Frontal lobe Is responsible for executive function. This includes memory, impulse control, your emotions, planning, and organization.
The brain stem controls the flow of messages between the brain and the rest of the body, and it also controls basic body functions such as breathing,, heart rate, and blood pressure,

Global conveyor belt and thermohaline ocean currents. The ocean has waves and currents. I think of currents as rivers of water in water.
Because cold water is denser than warm water, the cold water sinks below warm water. Water with a higher salinity has a greater density than less salty water. As a result, currents can be created in the ocean.
The global conveyor belt is a series of ocean currents that snake around the world. They are called thermohaline currents because they are the result of changes in temperature and salinity.
The base of the world’s food chain depends on the
cool, nutrient-rich waters that support the growth of algae and seaweed.

This calculus video tutorial explains how to find the absolute maximum and minimum values of a function on a closed interval. Tto find the absolute extrema, you need to find the relative extrema by finding the first derivative of the function and the critical numbers. Plot the critical numbers on a number line to create sign chart. Using the sign chart and the first derivative test, determine what type of relative extrema is present - if it's a relative maximum or a relative minimum. Next, place the critical numbers and the endpoints of the closed interval into an x y data table and compare the y values. The absolute maximum contains highest y value and the absolute minimum has the lowest y value.

An unexplained phenomenon
Outbreaks of this so-called dancing mania involved groups of people dancing erratically and uncontrollably, sometimes in their hundreds or even thousands.
Like a disease, the mania would spread from town to town and even country to country as if it were contagious.
Historical records are sometimes very detailed about these outbreaks which affected men, women, and children dancing often until they collapsed from exhaustion or injuries.

The combat experience in Poland and France showed that soldiers using methamphetamine were showing clear signs of superiority in combat. They fought without fear and, above all, didn’t get tired. The case, however, also showed the harmful effects of the stimulant. Its excessive use led to physical and mental exhaustion, as Reich Health Führer warned in 1939. These negative side effects led to the ban of Pervitin by the Reich Opium Law in June 1941.
