The idea behind the Volkswagen, or “people’s car,” was initially conceived in the early 1930’s, before ultimately coming to fruition by the outbreak of the Second World War. Adolf Hitler, the Fuhrer of Nazi Germany, commissioned a vehicle that would be affordable, practical, and most important of all, available to every member of society in the ‘Grossdeutschland’. The general production of the Volkswagen ultimately stalled during the Second World War, however, as the Third Reich was forced to mobilise its national industries in order to keep up with the demands of their military efforts.

You would be right, of course, but that definition doesn't mean anything unless you have some knowledge of what calculus is. Let's keep it simple, shall we? Calculus is a conceptual framework which provides systematic techniques for solving problems. These problems are appropriately applicable to analytic geometry and algebra. Therefore....precalculus gives you the background for the mathematical concepts, problems, issues and techniques that appear in calculus, including trigonometry, functions, complex numbers, vectors, matrices, and others. There you have it ladies and gentlemen....an introduction to precalculus!

Magnets for Kids | What is a magnet, and how does it work?
Magnets for Kids | What is a magnet, and how does it work? Teacherflix 7 Views • 2 years ago

What do you know about magnets or magnetism? Magnets for Kids teaches you about magnets and how and why they work. People use magnets for more than just hanging up artwork and grocery lists on their refrigerators. In fact, the very center of the earth is made of two metals that cause a giant magnetic field! A magnetic field is the area surrounding a magnet. Let's see what else you learn!

Every magnet has a north pole and a south pole. A north and south pole will always pull toward each other, or attract to each other. If you try to take two magnets and face the north poles toward each other, they will repel. The same is true of the south poles.

There are a few types of magnets: temporary, permanent, and electromagnet. Temporary magnets become magnetized when a magnetic field is present. But they lose their magnetism when that magnetic field goes away. Permanent magnets, on the other hand, are made of materials like iron or nickel that are already magnetized and have their own magnetic field. In fact, the earth's core is made of iron and nickel, which is why it is magnetic.

Electromagnets are the last type. These magnets are created by running an electrical current through a coil with a metal core. The energized core creates a magnetic field. It stops working as soon as the electric current turns off. An MRI machine at a hospital is an example of an electromagnet. Other things with magnets in them include telephones, door bells, motors, and compasses.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about magnetism and how magnets work! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about magnets, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

NotebookLM + Gemini = Website Builder (Free & No Code)
NotebookLM + Gemini = Website Builder (Free & No Code) Teacherflix 1 Views • 17 days ago

We all know Google's NotebookLM is incredible for organizing research and summarizing dense documents. But what if those insights shouldn't just stay in a notebook?

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to take a stack of complex research (using NASA's Artemis Missions as an example) and turn it into a stunning, interactive, single-page website using Gemini. The best part? We are going to build it, add functional download links, export the file, and publish it live on the internet for free—all without writing a single line of code.

Whether you are building a resource hub for your classroom, organizing project files, or just want to present information in a more professional way, this AI workflow will change how you use your research.

🤖 Prompts Used in This Video:

Prompt 1: The Blueprint

Act as an expert UX designer and educational technologist. Analyze the attached NotebookLM research and design the architecture for a single-page educational hub about the NASA Artemis Missions. Break the content into logical sections: a compelling 'Mission Overview' hero banner, a 'Deep Dives & Technical Data' section for payloads and engineering specs, and a 'Launch Timeline'. For each section, dictate the heading, the core takeaways to extract from the research, and suggest a specific visual layout. Suggest a space-inspired, modern color palette.

Prompt 2: The Code Generation

Take the structural blueprint we just agreed upon and generate the complete single-page website in a single HTML file. Use Tailwind CSS via CDN. The design language should be clean and technical—deep space blues, stark white text, soft rounded corners, and vibrant accent buttons. Implement a sticky top navigation bar with smooth scrolling to sections. Use responsive CSS flexbox/grid for the technical data cards, and ensure interactive hover states.

Prompt 3: Adding Interactive Elements

Let's make this more interactive. Add a new section just above the footer called 'Downloadable Mission Guides.' Generate a responsive CSS grid of project cards based on the research. Each card needs a placeholder for an icon, a bold title, a brief description, and a high-contrast 'Download PDF' button with a subtle pulse animation on hover.

Prompt 4: Fixing the Download Links

Update the download button for the Space Launch System (SLS) specs. Change the href link destination to this exact URL: https://drive.google.com/file/....d/11-j1pxhoyPvwNNkRM. Keep all the existing Tailwind CSS classes, layout, and hover animations exactly the same.

What Are Compound Words? | Compound words for kids | Learn about the 3 kinds of compound words Teacherflix 4 Views • 2 years ago

You've heard them, but you may not have known it. In this video we are going to learn all about compound words. So, what are compound words? Compound words are creating when smaller
words are joined together to make new words with different meanings. There are thousands of compound words in the English language, but kids do not need to learn
all of them it is helpful to learn how to recognize them and throughout the video we share lots of examples and help students learn to identify compound words.

In this video we learn that there are three kinds of Compound Words.
1. Closed Compound Word: These words are written together. Examples include: haircut, airport, milkman, rollerblade, waterway, makeup

2. Open Compound Words: These are written as separate words, but together have a new meaning.
Some examples are: high school, dining room, school bus

3. Hyphenated Compounds: These words have a hyphen located between the words, like: well-known, merry-go-round, twenty-one, first-rate

We will help your kids learn about these kinds of compounds words and have a fun time as we practice throughout the video. For even more practice activities and worksheets, download our free lesson plan here:
