This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into torque which is also known as moment of force. Torque is the product of force and lever arm also known as moment arm. The lever arm is the perpendicular distance between the axis of rotation and the line of action of the force. Torque is the rotational equivalent of force. Positive torque values produce counterclockwise rotation and negative torques produce clockwise rotation. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems of torques as it relates to doors, seesaws, and shovels. It discusses how to calculate the mechanical advantage of simple machines like seesaws and shovels.

Hank begins teaching you about your endocrine system by explaining how it uses glands to produce hormones. These hormones are either amino-acid based and water soluble, or steroidal and lipid-soluble, and may target many types of cells or just turn on specific ones. He will also touch on hormone cascades, and how the HPA axis affects your stress response.

Today, we’re going to take a closer look at borders and the stories they tell. When we look at a map, the shapes we’re seeing can seem so permanent, but a map is just a snapshot of the Earth at a particular time, and by looking a countries shape (and how it has changed across time) we can learn so much about how power moves and the ebb and flow of conflict. We’ll talk about the different types of borders, and power dynamics at play in Armenia and Azerbaijan and even look to the oceans as we explore conflict in the South China Sea.

In this video lesson we're going to be talking about the four ways to say "the" in Spanish and why there are four ways. In doing so we'll dive into the idea of word gender as well as quantity! And hopefully we'll have a laugh or two along the way.
Let me know what you think of the video below!
And if you're reading this, write the name of an animal or object you would like for me to animate in a future video!
Algae is all around us and has many important uses. But what exactly is Algae and what are the different types of algae? We will learn about this and more in this video all about algae for kids! Algae (alga is the singular spelling) are a type of plant-like living things
that make their food just like all other plants, from sunlight by photosynthesis.
Algae are commonly found living in the sea, oceans,
rivers, lakes, ponds, or even in aquariums. There
are two different types of algae: macroalgae and
microalgae. Macroalgae are something you are very
familiar with-- seaweed. Microalgae are referred to as phytoplankton. Micro- means very small, so think of them as small plants that
live in the ocean, rivers, ponds, or lakes.
There are many different kinds of Algae from Seaweed, to Brown, Green and Red Algae and all have different purposes that we explore in the video! We also invite you to download our FREE comprehensive Algae lesson plan that is packed full of more content, activities, algae worksheets and more! In this ABC Order video kids will learn how to place words in alphabetical order. Once you know the alphabet (ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ) it is very easy to arrange words in ABC order. We start by looking at the first letter of each work A is first and Z is last. If the words both start with the same letter then we look at the second letter of the word and put in order again A first and Z last. It's that easy!
