Today we are going to learn many fascinating things about sound!
We embark on a journey to uncover the mysteries of sound and how it shapes the world around us.
Through colorful animations and lively narration, young viewers will learn about the basics of sound, including how it travels, what causes it, and how our ears enable us to hear. From the chirping of birds to the rumble of thunder, children will discover the diverse sources of sound in nature and everyday life.
But our exploration doesn't stop there! Kids will also delve into the science behind sound waves, discovering concepts such as frequency, pitch, and volume in a fun and accessible way. With interactive demonstrations and easy-to-understand explanations, this video aims to spark curiosity and encourage further exploration of the auditory world.

Converting a standard form quadratic function to a graph can be accomplished by finding the y-intercept, vertex, and x-intercepts (if they exist) and fitting a parabola to those points. It is easy to find these points when a quadratic function is in Standard Form because they can all be found by plugging a, b, and c into particular formulas.
y-intercept: (0,f(0))
vertex: (-b/2a,f(-b/2a))
x-intercepts: use quadratic formula

DeepSeek JUST released a new open source reasoning LLM, R1. This model is insanely powerful - on par and in some cases even BETTER than OpenAI's o1, and there are even local variations you can run yourself that are on par with o1-mini. Absolutely incredible!
With DeepSeek R1, bolt.diy (our open source AI coding assistant) is literally better than Lovable, and I've NEVER been able to say that before R1. In this video, I show you what you can build with R1, and I'm sure your mind will be blown just like mine was.
I also show you how to run DeepSeek R1 locally both through Ollama and HuggingFace. Lot of value packed in a shorter video!

What do you know about the inside of our planet? In our Layers of the Earth for Kids video, you and your students will discover some facts about the four main layers that make up our beautiful earth! The first thing you'll learn is that the earth is not simply a giant ball of dirt, rocks, and minerals. On the contrary, our planet is much more than meets the eye.
The crust is the outer layer of the earth and is actually between 5 and 25 miles thick depending on where you are. Under the oceans, it is only about 3 to 5 miles thick, and we refer to these areas as oceanic crust. The crust beneath the land reaches up to 25 miles thick. We refer to these parts as continental crust. The temperatures of the earth's crust can range anywhere between air temperature and 1600°F, which is hot enough to melt rocks!
This thin layer consists of broken pieces called plates, which float on top of the soft mantle layer below. (The movement of these plates is what often causes earthquakes.) The mantle layer is the largest at about 1800 miles thick. It comprises extremely hot, dense rock that flows like asphalt. The temperature at the top is about 1600°F, but it's about 4000°F at the bottom! This layer is basically made up of melted rock that allow the plates of the earth's crust to float on top. The melted rock that escapes to the earth's surface lead to the creation of volcanoes.
Then comes the outer core of the earth. The outer core consists mostly of melted nickel and iron. This layer lies around 1800 miles below the earth's surface and is around 1400 miles thick. The temperature ranges from 4000°F to 9000°F! The inner core is about 800 miles thick with 9000°F temperatures. There is so much pressure in the core that the metals squeeze very tightly, forcing them to vibrate as solids do. This pressure comes from the weight of the other layers that press down on it.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about the crust, mantle, and inner and outer cores of our planet! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about Earth, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Linear Algebra on Khan Academy: Have you ever wondered what the difference is between speed and velocity? Ever try to visualize in four dimensions or six or seven? Linear algebra describes things in two dimensions, but many of the concepts can be extended into three, four or more. Linear algebra implies two dimensional reasoning, however, the concepts covered in linear algebra provide the basis for multi-dimensional representations of mathematical reasoning. Matrices, vectors, vector spaces, transformations, eigenvectors/values all help us to visualize and understand multi dimensional concepts. This is an advanced course normally taken by science or engineering majors after taking at least two semesters of calculus (although calculus really isn't a prereq) so don't confuse this with regular high school algebra.

Fractions are of the form p/q where q is not zero. If p is greater than q then the fraction is called improper fraction. Value of improper fraction is more than 1. We can divide the numerator by the denominator and then write it as a mixed number. Visual illustrations in this video help to understand the concept clearly in a very simple language. Video can help teachers and instructor to explain the concept. Thanks. Here are two Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playli....st?list=PLJ-ma5dJyAq

You might think anyone would have stolen from the Nazis if given the opportunity. Anyone would have pilfered from the Nazis what was absurdly overpriced and was only elsewhere available on the black market. Those mountain stores of fresh butter, that chance to not eat stale bread for once, and those barrels of alcohol that could be warmed during the coming bitter winter. You would have been the one who shared the plunder with your starving friends and family.
And yet, would you have stolen from the Nazis if your life was on the line? If being caught meant being beaten and humiliated, made to admit that you had also stolen from your friends? That you could be thrown into labour camps abroad, forced to help the Nazis by building them train tracks? Forever disgraced by your neighbours?
The Robin Hood Guernsey policemen certainly knew the risks but took them anyway.
