Eric Gordon, the CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, will participate in a virtual discussion Monday regarding โreopening and related critical policy priorities to ensure success for students and staff.โ "Ohio K-12 traditional public schools are experiencing unprecedented times," according to a press release from the Ohio 8 Coalition. Contractions Chartlet
Teach your students about contractions with the contraction words poster. This bright and colorful poster features a definition of the word contraction, as it's used in grammar, and has nine examples using common words like, is, had, or not.
The back of the 17" x 22" chartlet has a resource guide with tips for teaching contractions to your students. This is a perfect poster for kindergarten through third grade classrooms or students aged five to eight. The large classroom sized chart can easily be seen from student desks or tables.
Hang it on the wall as a reference guide, actively use it in a lesson on contractions, or do both. This handy chart will ensure your students are using contractions properly. One they begin to understand how contractions work, they can use the poster as a guide to figure out which letters are missing from more advanced contractions, like 'twas or o'clock.

Teach your students how to resolve their differences with negotiation and compromise, and why it's a bad thing to always get your way: https://brnpop.co/34E5tot
People are not always going to get along everyone. And anger and frustration are natural human emotions, so thereโs no way to avoid feeling them. But there are ways to disagree without being disagreeableโand in this BrainPOP movie on conflict resolution, Tim and Moby will teach your students all about them!
Students will find out why itโs a good idea to take a deep breath and collect themselves before they respond to a situation they're not thrilled about. They'll discover different ways to compromise, and how placing themselves in another personโs shoes can change a potential screaming match into a friendly discussion.
