"The Letter Y Song" (See below for lyrics)
With roots in folk music, traditional children's music is defined by catchy lyrics, fun imagery, and a simple melody that is easy for children to sing along with. Alliteration—the use of words with the same sound at their beginnings—is a feature of many traditional children's songs. In "The Letter Y Song," alliteration is used as a teaching tool to reinforce recognition of the sound of the letter Y. Watch and sing along to this infectious song!

This video lesson covers verbs that stem change (e-i) and (e-ie) in the yo, tú, él, ella, usted, ellos, ellas, and ustedes forms in the present but do something a little different in the preterite. It's a little longer than I was hoping but, enjoy!
*Correction*
Although servir is mentioned as an (e-ie) verb, it IS an (e-i) verb. Pardon my brain fart.

Wendy Robinson, the superintendent in Indiana’s Fort Wayne Community Schools for the last 13 years, is, perhaps, the state’s most persuasive advocate for traditional public schools, even as many Indiana politicians embrace robust school choice policies.
Her approach to fighting for public schools—particularly urban districts like Fort Wayne—is thoughtful, prepared, and confident. She is not only well-versed in research-based academic best practices, but also deeply knowledgeable about school finance, education policy, and the often divisive politics that drive the debate over K-12.
It’s an approach that has helped cement Fort Wayne as a diverse and thriving urban school system—a counter narrative to the often negative stereotype of big-city school systems—that wisely uses its resources to produce strong academic results.
“Our whole philosophy is that ‘no, we are not failing,’” Robinson says. “Our kids may need different resources, but we have as many kids who are considered highly able, who can go on to Stanford, and Yale, and all the other universities as kids in other areas [do]. But just because it’s public, it’s denigrated, and that really is a personal affront for me.”
This video was produced as part of Education Week’s Leaders To Learn From project, recognizing outstanding school district leaders from around the country. More at http://leaders.edweek.org ____________________

In this video, your kids will learn all about nouns. So, what is a noun? A noun is a person, place, or thing. Throughout this video your student will be given lots of examples. They will be able to practice identifying nouns in a fun way.
The video describes each of the three groups of nouns one by one in detail. First, we will talk about nouns for people. Because people have titles, like doctor and baker, those are considered people nouns too! Then we discuss nouns for places. These can be cities like Atlanta or Paris, or they can be buildings like school or hospital. Last, we talk about nouns that describe things. Everything else that isn't a person or place falls into the things category. Things include dog, computer, water, window, and so many more. There are millions of nouns because there are millions of people, places, and things!
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning how to identify nouns! If you want even more practice, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about nouns full of activities, worksheets, and more!

What if universities don’t “disappear”… but lose their monopoly on learning, credentials, and opportunity?
AI is turning education into something radically different: personal, instant, adaptive, and always available. When every student can have a 24/7 tutor, a writing coach, a coding partner, and a study plan designed specifically for them, the old model—one professor, one curriculum, one pace for everyone—starts to look outdated. And the biggest disruption isn’t the classroom. It’s the credential. Because in an AI world, proof of skill can become more valuable than a piece of paper.
This video explores the end of universities as we know them: what AI is bringing, what will break, what will survive, and what replaces the traditional path.
In this video you’ll discover:
✔️ Why AI tutoring could outperform one-size-fits-all lectures
✔️ How “degrees” may shift into skill proof: portfolios, projects, and verified competency
✔️ What happens when the “middle” of studying becomes automated
✔️ How universities may evolve: research hubs, networks, high-trust credentialing
✔️ The dark side: cheating, dependency, inequality, and biased evaluation
✔️ The new advantage: judgment, creativity, and responsibility in a world of instant answers
💬 Comment below: Do you think degrees will matter less by 2030—or will universities adapt and stay dominant? And tell us what country or city you’re watching from.
🔔 Subscribe and turn on the bell for weekly videos on AI, education, the future of work, and how the world is changing faster than schools can update.

What do you know about the country of China? In All about China for Kids, you will learn a lot of cool facts about this incredible country. For instance, it is the most populated country in the whole world at 1.4 BILLION people! That is four times as many people as live in the USA. In addition, the official name of the country is the People's Republic of China. It is also the fourth largest country and borders a lot of other countries.
Because of China's big size, it boasts lots of different landscapes, like deserts, forests, mountains, and plateaus. In fact, a whole third of the country is covered in mountains. There are thousands of rivers, including the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, throughout the country. And there is also a lot of wildlife all over the various regions, such as the Giant Panda, which is actually an endangered species. There are only around 2,000 pandas alive today!
China is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations. The history of China splits into periods of time called dynasties, the first one being the Xia Dynasty (pronounced like shaw) over 4000 years ago. And during the Qin Dynasty, the Great Wall of China was built, and the people developed advanced technology in mathematics and infrastructure. The last emperor was overthrown in 1912, and the country became a republic. But then in 1949, the current communist government overthrew the republic following a civil war.
There are so many cool attractions and landmarks to visit in China. Besides the Great Wall of China, there is the site of the terracotta army, a series of statues that represent Chinese warriors. They were buried under ground for more than 2,000 years! The Forbidden City is another great attraction, a place that was home to 24 of China's emperors. It was built around 1420 AD. Can you guess why it's called the forbidden city?
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about the amazing country of China! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!
