Rubens' Tube is an awesome demo and here we take it to the next level with a two-dimensional 'Pyro Board'. This shows unique standing wave patters of sound in the box.
The pressure variations due to the sound waves affect the flow rate of flammable gas from the holes in the Pyro Board and therefore affect the height and colour of flames. This is interesting for visualizing standing wave patterns and simply awesome to watch when put to music. Thank you to Sune Nielsen and everyone at Aarhus for sharing this demonstration with me! And thanks for having me at your conference.

Are you trying to find the perfect reading materials for language students or your own self-study, but keep coming up short? Stop searching and start creating! In this complete tutorial, I’m showing you exactly how to use Google Gemini to write highly tailored, engaging Storybooks that meet your specific educational needs.
Google Gemini Storybooks is a completely free and often overlooked feature that provides incredible, granular control over language learning resources. This tool is an absolute game changer whether you are a teacher building curriculum resources, or a student trying to read in a new language.
In this video, I take you step-by-step through a full demonstration of the Gemini Storybook creator, focusing on how to bend the AI to work perfectly for language learners. I show you where to find the tool and how to use every setting for maximum educational impact.
We cover exactly how to control the language level, from absolute beginner to advanced. I demonstrate how you can instruct Gemini to include specific target vocabulary and grammar structures, ensuring the story actually reinforces the concepts you are trying to learn or teach. You don't have to settle for the AI's first draft!
But the control doesn't stop with the language. You will learn how to fully dictate the actual plot! I show you how to write the specific beginning, middle, and end, and control particular parts of the story. I also demonstrate how you can engage younger students by creating stories starring them and their friends by adding specific character names.
Worried about accessibility? While Gemini Storybooks do have a 10-page limit, I show you how to get the most out of every page. More importantly, I show you how easy it is to save and share your generated stories with anyone, even if they don't have a Gmail account.
Hit play to see all of these ideas in action! If you are looking for innovative educational tech tools to speed up language acquisition, this video is for you.
If you enjoy this tutorial, please be sure to like, comment, and subscribe for more tips on using AI and technology to enhance language learning!
What you’ll learn in this tutorial:
Total Story Control: How to tell Gemini exactly what should happen at the beginning, middle, and end of your story.
Vocabulary Integration: Force the AI to include your specific target words or grammar points.
Adapt for ANY Level: See live examples of tweaking stories to make them easier for lower-level learners, or more challenging for advanced students.
Personalization for Young Learners: Discover how to include custom names and themes to keep young students engaged.
Easy Sharing: Learn my trick to share your final 10-page book with anyone—even if they don’t have a Gmail account!
If you are a language educator looking for new ways to engage your students, or a learner looking for reading material at exactly your correct level, this is an incredibly powerful tool.

How to Learn Addition and Subtraction for Kids | Math for 1st Grade
There are several methods to teach children to learn addition and subtraction. Planning activities to make it easier for children to learn is one of the best methods.
Making worksheets with colorful drawings and animated figures not only develops their interest but also helps them learn faster. Most of the kids usually think mathematics is boring, which is why you need to try different methods to divert their attention.
Kids love jellies and candies, right? Well, then those can be used to learn fast addition and subtraction.
For a sum 4 + 5 = --------, give four candies to the child separately and then tell them to count from four onwards until they complete the five remaining. Simple, right?
You can also use an abacus for teaching addition and subtraction. The colorful balls in the abacus make addition and subtraction for kids a lot easier. These methods are easy to follow and help in developing a good mathematical concept.

The finest burritos in the world are made in San Francisco’s Mission District. But how can you get a hot & fresh one in New York City in time for lunch? Physics, that’s how. For this very serious and scientific video, we dug a classic documentary out of the vault that tells the story of the transcontinental burrito tunnel, and its successor, the transcontinental burrito hypertunnel. They are both true marvels of physics. Oh, and they aren’t real… but the science is.

This week on Crash Course Econ, Jacob and Adriene are talking about failure. Specifically, we're talking about market failures. When markets don't provide a good or service efficiently, that's a market failure. When markets fail, often governments step in to provide those services. Stuff like public education or military protection are good examples of market failures. So, what are some of the ways governments address, market failures? Well, it's funny you should ask, as we also talk about that in this episode. We'll get into taxes and subsidies and externalities and a bunch of other important stuff this week on Crash Course Econ.

In which John Green teaches you about the changes wrought by contact between the Old World and the New. John does this by exploring the totally awesome history book "The Columbian Exchange" by Alfred Crosby, Jr. After Columbus "discovered" the Americas, European conquerors, traders, and settlers brought all manner of changes to the formerly isolated continents. Disease and invasive plant and animal species remade the New World, usually in negative ways. While native people, plants, and animals were being displaced in the Americas, the rest of the world was benefitting from American imports, especially foods like maize, tomatoes, potatoes, pineapple, blueberries, sweet potatoes, and manioc. Was the Columbian Exchange a net positive? It's debatable. So debate.

How Many Faces, Edges And Vertices Does A Square Pyramid Have?
Here we’ll look at how to work out the faces, edges and vertices of a square pyramid.
We’ll start by counting the faces, these are the flat surfaces that make the pyramid. A square pyramid has 5 faces altogether - 4 triangular faces, as well as 1 rectangular face.
Next we’ll work out how many edges the pyramid has, which are where two faces meet. A square pyramid has 8 edges.
Next we’ll count the corners of the pyramid (the corners). A square pyramid has 5 vertices.

Some decimals are easy to convert to fractions - you just put the decimal over a suitable multiple of ten - and then simplify from there. To do the more complex decimal to fraction conversions there is a trick, which involves some very easy algebra. Learn how to do this and you will be able to convert any decimal to a fraction.
